Same here. I love the iconics, but $60 is more than I can spend for them at the moment. If the PM opens up before shipping then maybe. I can afford the bases though. ^‿^

yeah.. this update is gonna cost me.. really don't care much for the Ivory Dragon itself, but some of the other stuff in the expansion looks tasty.. and he had me at Pathfinder..

but I just cant stretch my budget for either of them. 

perhaps if the pledge manager stays open long enough..

 

I don't like the Ivory dragon even as much as the screaming god.. but the death chicken is still waiting to pounce.

yeah, never liked the art for the weaver monster.  icky.  yay, finally something I definitively can sell to recoup some of my 777 pledge!!!!  whew. I think I feel better about spending money now.

The main problem I have with the base inserts is that the monster sized base inserts were not available when I glued together many of my core game monsters back in December 2015. I wanted them then. Want them now. But I realise how impractical it would be to attempt to rebase my existing monsters.

Oh. The Pathfinder heroes description includes the phrase "a revamped more in depth hero mode". Hero Mode is an optional rule in which the Survivors cannot die in battle. Whatever bad happens to them they only end up having to miss the next hunt (although they can still perish due to excessive age and various other events that simply destroy survivors).

 

I imagine Revamped would make them less durable although allowing the same heroes to keep popping back up when they've recovered from death and serious injury might make sense given how prevalent healing magic is in Pathfinder.

Ahhhh.... Pathfinder....

I keep gaining points of Insanity.  My only hope, though is to add it to a late pledge manager or just enjoy the artwork.

I already stretched after fiddling with my budget to make the Gambler's Chest available.  No way I can get the Pathfinder ones, extra dice or base inserts otherwise.  

I will be content whatever the outcome is.  It is going to be a lot of things coming in through staggered shipments.

And unless Adam messes up his math something fierce, there will be another Kickstarter where I can pick up things more easily.

I love that the death chicken is running away.  That's outstanding!  We all know we're getting it, but I'm enjoying the game he's playing immensely.

 

Oh, and Ivory Dragon?  Simply...  WOW!!!  Notice the survivor it's eating?  That thing is going to be HUGE!!!

Playing with the gamblers chest is just going to be completely different game than playing the base game,  probably more than a "Peoples of" campaign. 

 

I am no longer satisfied with the amount of money I have budgeted for this KS.  Unfortunately it was already a struggle to get my wife to accept that I was going to spend close to 300$ .  Adding another 100 (I have a plain BF lantern)  Is going to reopen the fight.  We have the money, if it was a medical bill or car repair it would just come out of savings, but a optional hobby expense?  

 

I am not sure what to do.  I have thought long and hard about my current selections, and I am not willing to give up the lovely monster sculpts that sucked me into the game to begin with.  But I'm not happy about it anymore. I want more than I can get.

Sympathy liked. It's rough making things work as a single entity sometimes, but at least the only person I have to fight with right now over what I'm spending money on is myself.

 

I'm technically still under budget. I say technically because rationally I know that the shipping costs are going to push me over budget by a good bit. I'm not counting it though since the shipping is going to spread out over a couple of years. I'm just going to count that as hobby budget in whatever month the shipping payment happens to fall into.

I'm a bit over budget, but acknowledging this is going to be a year of not buying minis or other mini-related stuff helps, since I can dedicate what would've been a mini budget for another month or two.

 

Then that budget shifts to cool stuff for my art studio, planes of the head, a skeleton, etc. Exciting!

There are so much awesomeness in this project I am happy that I stopped collecting KD once they became too hyped. I can't imagine how much I would have spent on this otherwise, being a completionist like many of the rest of you addicts. :D
