Kingdom Death: Monster 2

Recommended Posts

Sheer lunacy, but I can't wait to get my hands on all of it!  Did I miss it in the update somewhere...he mentioned in the summary at the top that there would be rolling delays for waves 3 and 4.  Or was I reading far too early this morning?

That update has a ton in it!

I missed out on the things I might have picked up in the sale, but am trying to hold fast with only bumping up for one thing in the PM.

I went in for a second Pathfinders of Death and a second Gambler chest.  There are a lot of single minis I want in expansions and pin up groups but not enough to buy a whole set.  Gamblers chest should be able to be broken down to trade for those others.

I finished sleeving my core set with FFG green sleeves. I also put the gear cards in Ultra Pro pocket protector sheets (20 per page. They fit four unsleeved cards in a slot). I cut four of them down to 3x3 and am using them as gear grids.

Anyone sleeve their Settlement Events?

Any suggestions on which sleeves to use?

Rumors say PM closes tomorrow.

I would have loved a Dragon King or DBK   for half of retail,

but I just don't have it on hand, and can't afford the marital strife.

Started the game with my RPG group.  in  5 hours we had 3 deaths, and killed 2 lions, and reached the showdown with a 3rd.

I survived my first Butcher, barely. No deaths, though I did have a sacrificial goat out for him (bad things happen to the character in the #2 slot at the table). I used the cat eye circlet to snoop the HL deck and his one crit location was on top, founding stone to knock him down. Then he (of course) traps and messes everyone up. But his mechanic of shuffling the HL deck every turn worked against him as I ended up drawing that crit location twice more, the second time as a hit for my crit specialist. And even though he trapped AGAIN on that round (he also rolls 5 dice to hit...) it was enough to wound him to the point where we could take him out before anyone bled out.

Brutal encounter, and it was mostly luck that saved us. Awesome game! Also came close to getting the showdown reward that can be used to regrow a limb...would've been awesome to use on my settlement's leader who lost her left arm to the lion...

Has anyone tried playing this using Tabletop Simulator?  I can't really leave it set up on my dining room table, but a virtual one....  I just haven't used TTS very much and wondered how clunky it would be for this.

I have. It all depends on which version you use. I'd recommend Nognoth's non scripted version. It's less up to date but a lot closer to the physical experience and the board components look closer (hunt track, settlement track etc).

Nothing's as good as the physical tabletop experience but Tabletop Simulator can e a good second choice if you just don't have space at the moment.

I would play the TTS version. I haven't yet, but I would love to join a game.

If it is the old version, can you just pull cards from 1.5 when you know which one the TTS 1.3 version says to pull?

There's a separate mod with the 1.5 upgrade pack cards in which can be imported and used to replace the old ones. It takes a little more technical jiggery pokery but it can be done.

I may have to look into this...

Just ran across this. I’m not familiar with the company, but they seem pretty established in the historical line. Anyone have thoughts on these? The price per figure seems reasonable for good resin.
