Removing the rocks under Wyrmgear's feet?

So, I have a Wyrmgear model and a 120 x 92 mm base to put him on. Problem is, I want to put a tile pattern (probably made from cardboard) on the base, and the Wyrmgear model has rocks as part of his feet. Him walking around on rocks probably wouldn't fit if I wanted to do something indoors, probably in a castle with interesting-looking undamaged tiles.

How might I safely remove the rocks on his feet?

Bones plastic cuts very easily with a hobby knife or scalpel. You could even just take a regular box cutter and quickly slice the majority of the rock bases off around his feet, and then use a hobby knife or scalpel to carefully slice off the rest of the base left around and underneath his feet.

On a side note, however, removing the bases he's standing on will affect his stability to some degree since there will be less surface area in contact with the ground, so you'll probably want to pin him to whatever you use for a base instead of just glueing him.

Alright, pinning and/or gluing (from orbit, its the only way to be sure) sounds like it should probably work, then. Worst-case scenario, I mess around with cutting apart his feet and gluing them back together in a better position, but it probably won't come to that. Probably.

Thanks.
