An Angry Warrior

I actually have no idea where this guy came from, which might explain his attitude. That and I painted him in a hurry...   I imagine him picking his way through the mossy scree to get even with me for my messy paint job.  ;-)

Anyone know how I could find the source of this mini?  I probably bought him a decade ago or more.

If it were me, I'd be angry about the haircut. I had that haircut once. Wasn't pretty.

He's all business up front and all party in the back, but I'm going to have to agree with Viking_hank. He's just mad because he's looking for his pants.

Seriously though. Excellent work. He definitely looks cheesed off.

Here you go, Ral Partha, based on a Larry Elmore painting:

Dark Divide, sculpted by Dennis Mize.

I started looking tonight, and you, sir are a savant for Ral Partha work.

I had guessed Ral Partha, but didn't know where.  I started in Adventurers, but you sir, are amazing.

As to the painting of the miniature:

Nice work.  The eyes are good, and the overall feel is that the character is very angry indeed.  I think it fits very nicely.

I'm sure you really wanted to say idiot savant, but I fully appreciate your restraint! What can I say? I have a(n) (un)healthy appreciation (obsession) for old Partha!

Happy Turkey Day all!

Presenting the Frost Giant Heroine from Reaper.

Not my best work, I'm still not great at getting all the mold-lines off these PVC minis, plus I was painting her to help work through some issues I was having so she's a bit on the rough and basic side.
Was still a lot of fun to paint up though, I'll have to get the other one done now.

Presenting Lysette, a mage from the Bones USA line by Reaper.

Started on this one back in January, but got stuck on her dress so she spent a while in the Cupboard Of Unfinished Things.
Unfortunately, my camera doesn't like her sky blue hair and it's really blown the colours out, she looks a tad better in hand.

Presenting the Ram Pin-up from Kingdom Death, I imagine this is what quest-giving NPCs look like in that world, sketchy, half-naked dudes who always have one more dubious item for you to fetch before they'll let you have the promised fancy sword.

I'm reasonably happy with how he turned out. He's a little rough in places, where my brush control wasn't quite up to the task, but I don't think I did too bad.

My second miniature of the year. This one took me longer than expected but I think it came out okay. I like the heather blue and purple combo. I used a different sealer/varnish this time around and I like the finish a bit more than the brush on I used in the past.

One of the three from #2550.  Been a while since I've touched a paint brush.  Tried to use up as much of my old Ral Partha paints from LOOOOOOOOOONG ago.  I made zero attempt to make him pretty.  But there wasn't enough to give him that LARP image at a renaissance fair.
