"Well, we can deal with THAT when the time comes. In the mean time once we get the ship settle in somewhere we should try and find some more crew. This may be a good place to look. I hope."  She then pauses. "What should we do about her ladyship? I don't trust her. But since we are here, we might as well see what she wants. Besides, we may be able to get something of a profit out of it, if we play our cards right."

"Ah, her Ladyship. Well, between you and me we should be able to at least coax some information out of her. We should meet with her once we get the ship's repairs underway and see what she lets slip. I'd like to see about some reliable crew first, but I suppose that might have to wait."

"Well, let's get the ship docked first, then we can see what we can get done first. I say we get crew first, that way if we have to beat another 'hasty' departure, we already have them on board!"

"BULVIES, this is ground control for Fomori Landing Field.  A docking pad has been arranged for your vessel.  Please proceed with your escort"

Three patrol craft, large fighters about twice the size of the ones you managed to get, take up protective positions.  "This is flight leader, Commander Yua When," a transmission from one of the escort craft announces, "Please excuse the paranoia but war has been declared and escorts are becoming the norm.  We are here for your protection but, we must keep our safety in mind.  Please do not deviate from the set course without telling us first."

:glare: JASE reports that a scan has been attempted of the computer system by remote signal.  It has been blocked.

Your passengers/extra crew are eager to set foot in the spaceport.  Some are unsure of their future but at least they have one.  Some agree to meet with you after they have tested the waters in the Spaceport for crew opportunities going to the Imperium.

The flight in is simple with minimal contact with traffic control.  The BULVIES docks in a very luxurious landing pad, with a closeable ceiling and an independant small warehouse and accomodations for twenty.

The Customs Official who greets you has three elements of business.  Taxes and tariffs are on hold for the moment.  Repair contracts are at the expence of the BULVIES Corporate Holdings.  And the Lady Amie Grunzel would like the honor of the company of the crew of the BULVIES at the dinner hour, tomorrow (36 hours away).

With that you are free to settle in to the surroundings.

(ooc discussion:  The landing bay is one of many for specialized Free Traders with higher end cargoes.  Each is around a square kilometer, the huge hanger fills this space with a door that opens in the roof for ship access, and hotel like accomodations and an office on one side and some storage rooms for cargo on the other side.  Street access is relatively secure for the "renter" of the hanger.  Fomori field is on the outskirts of Birlain, the city/starport)

Joshua will see about getting the ship repaired and refitted. He also wants to get someone reliable and discreet to service and as necessary, repair the mil-spec fighters. Then, subject to the availability of good coffee, he'll start checking the usual channels for new crew. He is of course open to, and will follow up on, suggestions from his small but trusted crew.

As you are settling in an announcement comes over the Hanger Communications System.  "Good Day to all of you, this is Amie Grunzel.  I am waiting outside and would like to have permission to speak with the crew of the BULVIES in the Hanger Meeting Room."

Walking over to a view screen for the communications system, standing at ease are Arn and two other military looking fellows, Guntier Doth and Amie Grunzel.  With more to be gained by meeting than waiting you agree.

Amie quickly admits that she used you.  Arn has most of the details on that.  But, though she is sorry she is hoping that you have the ORTHUNE statuette or some other information that  will help with the current war.  Yes the Azact have declared war.  Again your partner Arn can clear that up.

The Azact were stopped 500 years ago with technology that the Federation is still finding beyond their means.  An edge is needed or the Azact will be in control in less than one year.

Loyalty to the Federation and an eye for a profit bring about a trade.  The Gravity Net location, Recordings of the time in the Gravity Net and JASE's research are exchanged for repairs, refitting, and renaming the BULVIES.  In addition, all leins and debts against the BULVIES or Bulvies Corporation are paid in full.  Ownership of the vessel is 40% Joshua, 20% Sira, 20% Nick and 20% Arn.  Payment for Hanger rental for 25 days. and local advertising for crew and cargo for 5 days.

The rescued crew of the Dog Soldier plan to stay in the hanger for a time, if you allow it.  The K'Kree is to be turned over to MiLady Grunzel as there is a K'Kree trading vessel elsewhere in the Starport.

:birthday:

OK folks.  That should bring this adventure to a close!!  If you find this unsatisfatory or have questions let me know and we'll make necessary adjustments.  If not, I plan to start a new thread for the next adventure.  It will begin in the hanger, game time four days after arrival at Fomori, the K'Kree is gone and some of the other rescued folks as well.
