Mice and Mystics - Core Character Mice

Recommended Posts

coool!

Very clean and well painted mice!  These would make playing the game even better although I might be afraid to move them around.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Upside is that I usually triple coat my pieces so they can be used. These were the triple coated as well.

This has been high on my want list. I look forward to being able to play it with my six and three year old kids when they get a little older.

My wife and I have played this game a couple of times with friends, and even with my parents.  It's a great introduction to RPG type games, and is great fun overall!!

This one has been on my shopping list for a while now.. I am glad to hear that it's a great game and a blast to paint..

And your painting does come forth in a splendid way too. Awesome.

The game has some interesting mechanics.  It allows for character variation when leveling up, as well as different weapons.  There is no GM really, only someone who reads the story to the players.  The objectives are clearly stated, and the monsters are controlled (rolled and moved) by the person to the current turn's left.  Replay ability is a little lacking, only due to the storyboard.  We've created our own, and there are several that can be downloaded.

I hope it isn't too far off topic, but there is a two-part TableTop episode of the game with the Wheaton family. For those that haven't played, it might be a good way to get a feel for the game. I would link it, but the Geek and Sundry page breaks the commerce rules here.

Beautiful. Love your color choices for all of them.

Thanks a bunch! However I can't take credit for the color pallet. They were painted using the cards from the game as a guide. I did love painting them though!

We bought Stuffed Fables about a year and a half ago to play with our nieces. I have had good intentions of painting it but have yet to get around to it. I'm starting this so maybe I'll get motivated to actually do it. I have until the week after Christmas to have it done.

There are 6 Stuffies (heroes), 3 types of enemies (4 of each type), and 5 bosses. (Spoiled for large photos)

      First the Stuffies:

      Next the enemies:

      Finally the bosses:

I have not primed or prepped these in anyway, this is straight out of the box. I do not currently have art to go off of for the bosses and regular enemies because I did not want to spoil the game as we've not fought some of the bosses. I will look up art as best as I can and post it as I find it.

One more mouse for the order of battle pool for Gencon.  I’m behind on basing, but should get to him over the weekend.

I haven’t picked up a brush in a couple of weeks, so I was happy to get
over the painting block with an Oathsworn speed paint yesterday. (I wasn’t timing closely, but about an hour.)
I need four or five more figures before Gencon, where my brother and I will be staging a couple of B&B games.

The pictures are a little extra contrasty; I’ll add a follow-up once based.

So in between crises at work and preparing to move, I did finish off one little Burrows and Badgers mouse one day at lunch. It took me the rest of the week to get him based...

Here is another beekeeper. I love mouselings! I gave this one a honeycomb pattern on his cloak. It's not perfect but it it is so small, I am not unhappy with it. And I learned some things to help me the next time.

So here he is, Grumble & Bumble.
