That's a seriously badass looking mini! I'm not sure I'd want to be in the same party as him haha

How did you make the tome? Is it done in freehand? (Is it the Necronomicon?)

Hehe, I can see your point. :D

And it is indeed the Necronomicon!

It was made by grabbing some art online, Adjusted and resized in photoshop, then printed on regular paper on my trusty old ink printer. I am sadly quite horrible at freehand. I believe I spent about an hour on this mini, with drying times.

Arma Verata Nechumblehumble! It may or may not be the Necronomicon, but that is a WONDERFULLY painted tome. The miniature toting it is equally WONDERFUL...OUTSTANDING brushwork, converting, & color selection. VERY WELL DONE!

Most excellent. The idea to simply print a design out and glue it on the book is indeed genius. I may steal this idea. Overall the miniature came out well. I could see that adding a bit more depth to the cloak would improve it further, maybe a dark orange, almost brown wash?

Of course, feel free! :) It's the same thing I've done with the Enforcers I posted last year.

There are a lot of things that would improve this paintjob. It was done in about 60 minutes with drying times. Most are for the tabletop, so I don't spend much time on them. This one was two-three passes of drybrushing over a light brown spray base. Then weathered with sepia and agrax.

is that true though?  why wouldnt it be huge if the base determines that?

Wizkids, who does the official D&D models (in line with the models from GF9 that are also official) have a line of dragons coming, starting in dec/jan, that they said are their new gargantuan dragons and described them as properly sized or something .
Here's a pic of the first, the white:

For your consideration, I present Kallaguk, Troll King. This model was painted as part of a theme back in March 2020 where green needed to be the primary color for a Twitch streamer I follow. I had a lot of fun with this one trying my best to only use various shades of green. Happy with its result. C&C welcome.

Sandra Garrity makes some of my favorite Dwarves, and the detail on this one stood out. It doesn't show up much in the picture, but there are some Norse Futhark runes on the blade of the sword in blue that only appear if I rotate the figure 45% left or right. Also, I love dwarves in green.

Basically, a program to plan your dungeon. Pretty useful for 3D printing, and comes with it's own set of Egyptian tiles. You'll be able to upload other tiles as well, if you have the STL files. Super Early Bird (50% off, 25$) still available for now ;)
They have some videos on the page that show how it works.
