You really nailed the fur on that guy. I especially like it on his boot wraps it offsets nicely with the leather wrapping color you chose. It also works really well with the grey tunic. Eagerly awaiting the words describing how you came to paint that fur

I really wish I could help you guys but the magic ingredient is beyond me....

Base coat is GW Codex Grey, with a high light of Fortress Grey. (This I am sure of)

the next thing is that I used an ink wash to give it that color....

the problem is, it is an ink wash that I mixed myself for some project, and didn't write down the recipe!!!!

I have a tiny bit of it in a 5ml(?) bottle....

I think that I need to SCIENCE! a bit to see if I can re-create it....

 

(It is likely some sort of black ink mixed in with Liquitex transparent Burnt Umber....)

at least that will likely be my start point....

(Didi's Magic Ink, Black, Inktense Black, GW Black Ink, and some Secret Weapon washes are the likely canidates for the black....)

I fiddled around last night with the different washes and inks I have, and came close, but no cigar as they say....

I am pretty sure that Secret Weapon Stone Wash is a component though....

 

Anyhow painted on these 2 some more....

Mixed my Reaper Sample Color that looks like Feldgrau with some MSP Blond Highlite (2/1)for his cloak

Highlite Orange for his hair and Beard

WC Purple 3 on his hat

WC Ochres 4 to 2 in 50% increments on his leg wraps

SC75 Brown Leather on his leathers

 

 

WC Ochres 4 to 2 in 50% increments on her 'coat'

WC Purple 3 on her tunic

WC Brown 3 to 1 in 50% increments on her pants

SC75 Brown Leather on her leathers

GW Scorched Brown on her hair and Eyebrows

 

Not sure why she has so much glare on her....

 

There may have been other touch ups here and there that I can't remember....

I need to update these after every session, as I cannot keep a painting journal, My WiPs are my journal....
