Dwarven Forge KS5 Back to the dungeon

Finally pledged. Cut way back from what I wanted and now I'm just at "more than I planned to spend".

Instead of "absurd".

I actually think I'm likely to be one of the lighter backers of this project, since the mean is over $1000/backer.

Dwarven Forge is definitely one that it is easy to point at others and say you didn't pledge nearly as much as they did. Castles had some people over $15k and that wasn't for a group pledge. It made my $1k seem like almost nothing.

I am still planning for around $500 now and then adding in the PM.

Yeah, I ended up at $250, mostly because I was mostly looking for utilitarian pieces and I already have quite a bit of that.

I ended at $255- but at the make your own pledge. I figure I can get a slightly better mix of things going piecemeal.  Still, it's always more than I had initially planned. I may hem and haw a bit about the fixed pledge level (or just add more) if the pledge manager lets me move stuff around. I was changing my pledge as the kickstarter ended.

I grabbed a level 2. My hit list was the limited edition temple, level 2 and the Eldritch pools.

I didnt have enough for all for all of them. I'm hoping that I'll have enough money to get the temple before the pledge manager closes.... though that's probably going to be about the time of Bones.

If that happens, I'll just have to move on and get over it.

Currently at $325, but hoping to get to about $500 by the end of PM.  Though will have the same issue with Bones.  I figure that $500 will give me a decent start on my collection.

Ended at 754, about where I wanted to be. The PM is iffy as I am taking an expensive trip to the USA this summer and am unsure how much it will cost. I might pick up a bit more, probably will, looks like I will not spend much on the KSIV stuff when it hits the store, just do not need much of it.

I'm currently pledged at Level 3 with a lot of add-ons. I wanted to go pretty big in this because I missed KS1. And then they kept releasing things I really wanted. The choices weren't too hard as to what to select, in the grand scale, but I've been going back and forth in the margins.  The first thingI saw that I knew I had to get was the Eldritch Pools. Then the Khri Colony stuff came out, which I'm in love with. The more I saw the Passage stuff, I knew I basically wanted a pile where I could start building and not have to immediately worry about running out of pieces.  If I don't burn out my wallet with Gen Con and Bones IV, I'll add the Jade Temple in the Pledge Manager... In a way, that might be the best "set" of the bunch. At that point (god forgive me) I may convince myself that it just makes sense to go up to unpainted Dungeon of Doom.

My pledge (all unpainted): Dungeon Level III, Gorgon Tiers, Eldritch Pools, The Menagerie, Doomroller's Labrynth, Khri Colony, Double Doors, Water Terrain Tray, Burrows- Accessories, Burrows- Stilts, Ledges. And 1 painted Epic Stair, of which I plan to trade one of the stairs so that I have at least 3 of the same direction in order to build a sweet spiral. Total $1630.

Bah! I had decided that I was going to back this, but I was mistaken as to what time it ended and missed out by maybe 20 minutes. Ah well more money for Gencon and Bones 4, I suppose.

Yeah. Go unpainted dungeon of doom. But let us know when you get it done.

I have all but the accessories for my Castle pieces done, and my Castle is a little short of on par with the Dungeon of Doom. It took me maybe 28 hours spread over a month.  I could do some touch-ups on it (like I haven't painted the grass on my erinthor mountains), but I don't really think it's necessary. My paint job is already richer and more interesting in most cases than the factory job. (Okay, the dungeon of doom probably has quite a few more (and smaller) pieces.) Still most of it is so easy to paint; it doesn't require the same level of focus as minis.

Here's a bunch of charts comparing the four DF kickstarters, if anyone is interested:

Likewise.

I am well below half the average pledge amount. I want to spend thousands, but just can't justify it in the budget.

Yep well below and still will be even after I add a bit in PM.  I wanted to spend a ton, but alas, don't have the necessary funds and don't like carrying a balance on my credit cards.

Hi, we're Crow Land Publishing, and here's our first book, Wickerpunk. A supplement book for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, with application for all fantasy and horror games, such as Pathfinder, Call Of Cthulhu and even superhero games, like Champions. It will be 275 pages.
Folk horror – horror and supernatural fiction that relies on elements of the past, folklore, superstition, the dreadful majesty of nature, the darkest urges of old religion. And old gods. Where the landscape itself is a symbol of fear and dark majesty.

Heroic fantasy – a dream of blades and magic, a dream of defiance of the dark powers of the world, where we can be our truest ideals of our self.

And when these genres collide – we have Wickerpunk.  A genre in which the ancient and natural world of the Wyld meets the imperialist world of Industry.
If you like film such as Gawain and the Green Knight, Dragonslayer and The VVitch, you'll like our book.
If you like games such as Maiden of Sker, Greedfall, and Hellblade, you’ll like our book.

If you like anime such as Princess Mononoke, The Ancient Magus’ Bride and Faery Gone, you’ll like our book.
If you like TV shows such as The Witcher, Game of Thrones, (especially the White Walkers stuff!) and the classic 1980s Robin of Sherwood, you’ll like our book.
If you like novels such as The Mists of Avalon, The Dark Is Rising and The Broken Sword, you’ll like our book.
Wickerpunk is a sourcebook that instructs GMs and players alike on what wickerpunk looks like in a game of D&D or any fantasy roleplaying game.

We have a small and short campaign live at Kickstarter.
As the clunky title suggests, It's about a big virus, his small buddy and some masked adventurers.

The all in level is 50 USD (60 Canadian) + postage

      Thanks for having a look!

I barely received my last campaign pledge from Midlam that already it has something that caught my interest.

Sisters of the Kraken Cult. The female counterparts of the previous "Onslaught of the Cult of the Kraken Lord" and "Cultists of the Kraken Lord". (I now have some regret of not getting it)

What's also interesting is the optional add-on of fish folk.

Brinewind is going to have some interesting neighbors.

      Story
After the estate of one Fomo Barrowblight (who many moons ago, and with heavily laden bags, had said he was just off for a morning walk, never to return) was sold at auction, there came to light a strange scroll that appeared to be a map of the final resting place of a lost tribe of halflings.  These cousins lived down in the scorching Southlands, amidst endless dunes that had buried whole cities and civilisations.
The newly elected (and so still very enthusiastic) Halfling Town Council had organised an expedition to make contact with their fellow halflings, with the aim of swapping some stories and recipes, and who knows, perhaps even coming back with some interesting new cakes.
And, after many great perils and travails, the expedition found itself in a mysterious location known as 'The Valley of the Things'.  Here, recipes in strange hieroglyphs were marked on tomb walls,  guarded jealously by High Priests and long mummified pastry chefs.
The expedition takes time to assuage the fears of the High Priests that they are here to steal the sacred recipes and make formal diplomatic relations.  But Fomo Barrowblight and another mysterious figure seem intent on stealing the recipe to the sacred pie and have already gleaned some of the ingredients...
      To the Mummy's Tomb!
Introducing a series of  Eight Fantasy Miniatures in 28mm scale from a halfling expedition to the burial grounds of their cousins, in the desert southlands.
        Halfling Town Council Five
The latest elected Halfling Town Council, has been responsible for launching the expedition to the distant Southlands, as always, it is made up of eight different townsfolk from all walks of life.

I've already pledged for the whole set, why haven't you?

      Story
Echoes of Camelot: Arthurian Legends is a project that will expand our 75mm resin miniature range with new and exciting models based on the Matter of Britan, particularly around the figure of King Arthur and his Knights. We have many cool surprises prepared should you help us bring this dream to life.
These miniatures have been sculpted and painted here at the Big Child Creatives studio with the collaboration of some of the most talented miniature artists out there. And what is more, they will be manufactured by our own talented team of resin casting experts. This allows us to monitor the process closely to ensure the best quality in the market and a timely delivery.
We have learned a lot from our previous campaigns, and we want to put all this experience to good use, repeating everything we did right, improving upon it, and correcting our past mistakes. We invite you to join us in this journey of discovery throughout the Matter of Britain and its amazing cast of unique characters.
This campaign is a journey of discovery, full of surprises such as custom bits to make your miniatures even more striking than they already are. Some of these kits will be Kickstarter exclusive, so those of you who choose to support us will be able to proudly show it through unique miniatures, even more full of life and character than our regular releases.
