Frostgrave Campaign 2017

Nice looking warband!

Good luck in the new campaign!

Thanks on both counts, Chaoswolf!   It's going to be an interesting first game, as this time everyone knows wha they're doing.  Last time we were all pretty clueless as to best strategies and tactics starting off. :)

I guess now that my wizard and apprentice are done, I should figure out what the rest of the warband is gonna look like...

Looking good Mr. Palmer.

Looking forward to your new campaign as well.

We liked the couple scenarios we ran from the Lich Lord book.

Good luck guys!

Thanks, Chaoshead! Glad to hear you enjoyed the LL scenarios you did. Reading through the scenarios, it looks like we will have some real challenges ahead of us!

I have written a small back story for my new wizard as well.....not near the literary masterpiece that Chris produced (If Joe does another book of Frostgrave short stories, he should solicit Chris for an entry).

To read the short history of Bemis and his young apprentice Agarn Click Here

Really looking forward to the new campaign season.  It should prove to be quite enjoyable.

Hope you enjoy it.

Super introduction, Knabe! And that's a great photo of the two characters that you did. It really looks like they're interacting with each other. And I like the matching hats and orbs.

Can we assume from his love of books and scrolls that Bemis is a Sigilist also?

I'll be interested to see how that Captain works out for you.

And thank you very much for the kind words regarding my prologue story.

COOL! I'm looking forward to reading it.

Look out for my posts. Starting the league this sat. I need to get my warband photographed and posted before that.

@Knabe  --  Good intro sir. Good luck in your adventures in the frozen city.

Where is that little kid magic user from?!?!?  That is a really nice little mini!

And Bemis learned about the Frozen City by reading of the exploits of a famous druid. Hmmm, wonder who that could be? ;=)

A lovely intro! Looking forward to seeing how the captain works out for you. Any chance we'll get a sneak peek of the whole group before the gaming updates start coming?

Incidentally, we still haven't seen David's band...

Thanks for the comment guys.

Chris - Yes, being a book lover, Bemis is a Sigilist.  If only he had time enough to read.....

Chaoshead - The kid is from Reaper's Adventuring Kids blister

Pippin - Couldn't reisist a Knabe reference ::D:  I'll try and get the whole gang together and post a pic tomorrow

Fine. Since you asked for it. Here it is.

A reminder that you asked for it. ::P:

That was very good.  You captured the personalities and I could even hear the appropriate actor's voices in my mind as I read it.  :)

It's a lot easier when you can rely on that for a story! Thinking about keeping the War Doctor as the PoV for my write ups.

Here is the Druid from the Grenadier Wizards box set, this one sans dart. Very simple garb on this guy.

I don’t know what to think of this guy. He looks very 1st-level, compared to the Druid with Dart. His sword doesn't even have a cross-guard. How anyone can sword fight in those Smurf-like robes escapes me as well. I think this guy has a lot to learn.

This is the Druid with Dart from the Grenadier Wizards box set. The mini originally had a tiny little limp carrot-looking dart in his hand, which i always hated. I took the liberty of replacing it with something a bit more substantial.

My daughter came up with the entire color scheme. I sometimes ask her to pick out the colors when i have no idea what to do.

I don't know what the little critter perched on his staff is. Maybe some kind of little lizard friend? Or maybe just something carved on the staff?  Oh well.

This is the Cleric from the Grenadier Wizards box set. As with the sorcerer I posted earlier, this guy suffered from a sandblasting 25 years ago which gave him a slightly gravelly texture and eroded some detail.

I modeled him after a Catholic Cardinal with the red and white robes and beanie. Having a priest with a snake familiar is a bit on-the-nose, don't you think?

These were the final two of the Thanksgiving Challenge I was able to complete.

The one on the left is a fairly accurate depiction of the Elder Mouse that wound up briefly possessing me on Halloween and his friend is the Priestess of Cheezit. (Which has gone from a favored food of mice, to a religion it seems)

Debating on the nature of Cheezits vs Cheese Nips, consulting the Book of Ralph.

Nips are found to be acceptable, and they go off to spread this to the other mice...
