Question for January 1st/2nd, 2017

Yes, I know, usually these don't start on a Sunday, but I wanted to get this up early, even if it steps on the toes of the December thread... 

 

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

 

 

Putting an end to the wretched, corrupt shenanigans of Mayor McCheese.

Question for January 1st/2nd, 2017

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

It's becoming likely that I won't be able to get the vacation dates off from work that I was hoping to, so the things I was planning on looking forward to won't be happening for me this year.

Nothing else comes to mind right now.

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

I don't really have anything particularly big planned, but I want to get involved with my local wargaming community year. I'm also hoping to take an intensive two-day painting class if the instructor can garner the interest.

Winning the lottery and being able to quit working (not very realistic, seeing how I very rarely play the lottery)

 

I don't really know; I guess I'm boring. There isn't really anything that stands out, at least not right now.

Not setting any New Year's Resolutions and seeing where I can improve.

My miniature grips are shipping out from Rathcore in the next day or two, so I'm looking forward to trying them out.

A ton of Massive Darkness miniatures will be arriving later this year, so I really need to finish up some other CMON zombies to make room.

My wife's school loan will be paid off in March!  (This would be higher on the list, but it just means we sink this money into redoing the water pipes in the house).

12 hours of personal instruction from Liz Beckley!  Thank goodness it isn't all in one weekend... learning a bit at a time is better for me to develop techniques and have other questions.

ReaperCon and BonesIV.  Now that Christmas and traveling is over, I can look at budgeting for these and where I need to make cuts (in other expenditures or expectations).

September 8th. My wife & I will take a short road trip over to Eugene, OR to watch the Ducks play the Cornhuskers. She is a Husker fan, I'm a Duck fan. Gonna be a interesting Saturday! We are pretty much doing this as a early 20th anv gift for each other. We'll stay till Tuesday or so over in Eugene. Nice weekend getaway from the kids & life over here in the desert of Oregon.

 

Still not sure about ReaperCon this year, as we need to replace the roof this year (gotta love insurance companies....) + with the game being in September, but we'll see.

I would have to say that getting my Bones III order is up there, as well as the excitement of seeing Bones IV being rolled out. Oh, and hopefully a new job that lets me afford it all. :lol:

 

Also, I look forward to the new friends that I'll meet on these forums. There's a lot of great people here, and it's great to add more to the mix. Heck, I'm even adding some of you on Facebook now, which is a big deal to me.

 

Also, 2017 means I have an entire year to go looking for true love again. As always, I remain hopeful.

In 2017 I'm looking forward to:

 

On the work side - Continuing to grow our little 'micro business', having happy customers and developing my sculpting and painting skills. 

 

Personal - I'd like to be younger & thinner (not sure if that's going to happen), but I'm enjoying watching my kids grow into adults, finding their way and I look forward to seeing how they continue to develop

 

Hobby - Taking time out to play more games

ooh. Did I make it in time to comment on yesterday:

 

Financial - Getting rid of the overhead on all these rennovations

 

Personal - Everyone was so sick in 2016 in my house, we should be having a really healthy 2017.

 

Hobby - I'd like to run D&D again for my two groups who feel abandoned right now. I've been on hiatus since October or November.

 

Reaper - Sure would like to have my pretty mountain of Bones III to sift through and paint. (Hopefully I will have time this year)
