Silvervane's Zombicide Walkers in mass

Recommended Posts

I haven't been posting much lately.  Not sure why.  But I finally finished up my Season 1 walkers.  Thought I'd break my photo inertia with a group shot of them on a game board.  Not my usual photo set up and not as clear as I could have wanted, but here they are.

They look great to me!  I'm amazed how you managed to paint them all differently and still make them look as great as they do.

That's a great looking group of zombies.

I admire your perseverance in getting them done.

Thanks, They have definitely helped me push my speed in painting non-display gaming mini's.

Thanks, they are a group of zombies not an army, I didn't think they should be uniform.

You did a great job of making them colorfully differentiated.  That's a problem for me because I tend to default to color group patterns, so I'd get 5 minis in and then start to repeat.  One of my goals this year is to start using more colors, since I have a great many I don't use.  I've had Coat D'Arms dusky yellow for eight years, and only used it for the very first time two weeks ago.   It feels like I just discovered such a colour exists, that yellow is not in fact a myth.  It's REAL!

So it's always nice to see colorful characters like these zombies, and Werewolvian's neato TMNT thugs.

Yeah, While I did repeat some color's I tried to vary where they were on the zombies.  That and try to use color's that I might not normally use on a male figure (pink).  It amazing how giving it different hair color or black or white shirt can vary them enough to look different.  Not so easy for model that all look the same though.

Despite now having Michael Jackson singing in my head, the Deadite Gals & Guys look WONDERFUL. The mass effect of all those individually attractive miniatures is STUNNINGVERY WELL DONE!

Nolzur's do make a few great monster minis, even though most -if not all- of their humanoid minis are too small, weedy and have too shallow detailing for my liking. Here is one:

      Yep, a dead head.

      50mm base.
The main colour is Citadel Contrast Plaguebearer flesh, the rest is regular paint.

This mini was finished September 12th 2020.

I have no idea who sculpted this, as WizKids do not -as far as I know- publish this info.

I've got more dead things for you today.  @Igormortis isn't the only one looking for some dirty dead!  Here's my little collection of swamp zombies.

The crowning jewel of this set is of course the Dreadmere Wight from Bone 4 Dreadmere.

He's got plenty of character packed into such a simple model.  I love him.

Along side him we have a repainted Zombie from D&D Giants of Legend prepaints (#40).

I've had this guy for ages, way before i learned to play D&D or ever picked up a mini brush.  His paintjob was pretty bland and I definitely think I (un)livened him up.  Would make a great shaman-type mini.

And filling out the horde we have the Zombies from the Castle Ravenloft board game.  Again.  Rather bland sculpts, but I like them a lot more now.  Their weird posture was the inspiration for the swamp theme as I imagined them pulling themselves up out of the muck.

All together, they're a fun thematic set and add for some variety to my dusty Graveyard Zombies.

Which one do you like best?

Crawling back from the dead here with this fun little handful of zombies!  Added some gravestones to a few of them using popsicle sticks.  Just good ole' classic grave crawling zombies.  Went for a dusty color palette.

Which one do you think turned out best?

Here is a set of five zombies I painted up - first 2 are wizkids and I found I did not really like the sculpt, a sort of Elvis pirate looking zombie. Second three are a mix of a wizkid and two reaper zombies. Quick paint ups for the table - being fortune to have an in-house group to play with!
