I know a lot of folks have had issues with the Trollforged in the past.  I won't lie, even I have had some.  But I know they spent a lot of time revising things, and Impact sent me a batch from the new casting group before i agreed to team up with them.  I assembled and primed one without washing it, perfectly clean bond.  I was actually pretty surprised.  There were a couple pinhole bubbles, but nothing worse than I would consider normal.

Essentially it boils down to the following issues, some of the master prints were 3d printed on too low res of a printer creating some graininess.  But that is taken care of (and has been for the past couple kickstarters).  Also there was a pretty notable problem with the mold release being nearly impossible to get off.  I've only had a couple that were a problem over the course of their kickstarters, but when it was bad, it was BAD. There were also issues with bubbles on certain sculpts, but this seems largely to be due to the sculpts not really being cut properly for the material, as they have developed the experience this problem is now pretty minimal. I mean it happens, but it's resin, but overall seems pretty minimal to pin hole bubbles. Now, that said. I spent a lot of time talking to Impact Miniatures about these problems, he sent me a handful from the last project where the resin and the mold release were revised.  I primed one of the new figures without washing it using Wal-Mart $1 flat black primer, totally fine bond.  I mean I'd still recommend washing them, but still.  I was curious.  Now I get that as I am working with them, you may not want to take my word for it, so I forwarded a couple of my samples that I was sent to a podcast who have been critical of that in the past.  She is going to get them Saturday, so hopefully she'll get to take a look at them soon.
If you aren't familiar with Elizabeth Beckley though, she's a pretty well known company painter, works with CMoN and a variety of other companies, during the podcast I mentioned above they were discussing problems with the older wave stuff, and she said her most recent figured seemed totally fine.

I hope this helps, if I wasn't confident the problems with the material weren't taken care of, I wouldn't be willing to work with them.

Most of the issues were worked out in the Asian chibi or the pony Kickstarter, both of which were a few years ago. The last couple kickstarters for impact have been really good, with excellent minis. I wouldn't hesitate to throw a bundle of money at impact, and by extension this project.

Those forest trolls are super cute!

All I know is that the minis I bought in June last year were horrible.

The flying pig had deformed jet engines. The Sphinx has bubbles all over the headgear, the Kitsune has large voids at the ends of her tails(some tailtips are completely gone). and so on.

All the damage is clearly visible without magnification.

And yeah, I'm having trouble getting primer or anything else to stick on them.

Hmm...this gives me pause.  Might just wait on these till retail.

Too many questions on this one.  Quality concerns, lack of greens (or renders)--just to much doubt.  All the ones I am interested in have prices nut no sculpts (Egyptian ones).  I will wait till retail.

I can only speak to my own experience.  Yes, some of the old stuff was pretty rough and had problems.  Everything I have gotten in the past year from new casts was totally fine (minor pinhole bubbles, but I expect that in resin) Here is a look at the egyptian figures for you, it's not all of them, but what I have handy.

Didn't see this one on the forums yet.  DreamForge is releasing something new following their past production issues.  Neat looking tank.  I've got a bunch of their other stuff, and while I haven't built the big mech yet, the other vehicles and troops were great kits.  Not sure they're going to hit the goal at this rate though.

      About
Hey folks. How do I pitch this? I guess I can start with a little bit about myself. I've been doing webcomics since the end of 2003. Back then I started a little webcomic I called Yosh!(because I was a total weeb).  Now here we are, 15 years later… and I’m still doing 3 Yosh!comics every week.  There are over 2000 comics on Yosh! Problem is, Yosh!, while fun, isn't the only idea running around in my head waiting for when I feel skilled enough to take on a bigger challenge. There's a bunch of projects I want to do. Almost 3 years ago, I started working on one of those other ideas. That comic series is called Artificial Incident.
Artificial Incident is a project I fell in love with as soon as I figured out that it already had a known Genre. Yosh! fell into the "Slice of life" category even though very little of it fell into everyday life, but because there really wasn't a better fit for it, it was categorized as that. AI, on the other hand, was RPG Literature, or for the weebs, an Isekai (Yep, 15 years later, still a weeb).
Allow me to explain my passion, or skip this paragraph. I love stories that take a person and throws them into a familiar yet alien world.  Stories like The Wizard of Oz, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and yes, even Captain N the Game Masters (Actually I was more a fan of the Dungeons and Dragons animated series but anyways). I enjoyed these stories because I saw so much potential and a simple connection. Most people can put themselves in the shoes of the person thrust into this strange situation. They can think about what they would do and how they would react. This creates an instant connection to the protagonist of the story. Then there's the shear number of familiar yet different things you can do leading to near limitless potential, while not being so alien that people have trouble understanding it. It's a perfect storm of unique and familiar attributes.
So, what Is Artificial Incident? It's the story of a character that not only gets pulled into a video game, but has the memories of that character as if they actually lived their life within the game. This caused many of the character's original memories to be overwritten, but not all of them. They're not alone in this game though. The story focuses on the main characters and the mysteries that unfold from the world. This includes everything from the NPCs, to a massive change in the economy and civilizations of the world, to even other Player Characters... from entirely different games.
What makes AI different from other similar stories? This comic has many unique traits, but the thing that frustrates me the most about many current similar stories is their lack of actually showing why things are the way they are. So many mysteries and concepts are never explored. AI is written to explore these changes and work to discover the reasons behind them rather than just accepting things "just because".

      About
Hello there. We would like to introduce you to our miniature painting holders. From the day I started painting miniatures, I confronted with various things that I considered it needed improvement, as  lighting on the miniature, attaching the miniature to the holder, good grip of the holder, airbrushing multiple miniatures at once, and the most important to feel effortless while painting, which I all applied by creating our painting system, and here it is.
      The Ice Cream:
This holder is amazing due to its features:
light on the miniature for a better vision, automatic back and forward rotation and magnetic head (N 52 magnets). Its size is:14 cm height by 5 cm diameter.
                                                    These are 3D printed prototypes

      The Clamp:
The clamp head  is designed for a secure hold of your miniature, being able to hold various base sizes from 20 mm up to 60 mm! The clamp has two levels as you can see in the picture. The first level holds between 20 and 40 mm bases and the second level holds from 40 up to 60 mm.As well,it uses  N 52 magnet for fast attaching to any of our holders. The magnetic head makes your miniature attaching easier than ever in just one click sound.. It saves you time and effort with no need of using mounting putty or tacky sticks or any other sticking stuff..
Who said that the small can't hold the big?
                                                     These are 3D printed prototypes

      The Torch:
We call this one the torch because put together with the clamp it looks like one. We should not underestimate it, because of its features: with this holder you will experience the truly smooth rotation due to its ball bearings(no friction). You don't need two fingers to rotate it, it will easily move by just a thumb touch. Its size is:10.5 cm Height by 3 cm diameter.

      About
This project aims to expand the Ulvheim ruin into a full featured ruin city for your home 3D printer. You can already download the first two releases from thingiverse for free. There is also an earlier release with smaller houses, also available for free. Click the image to see them.
Previous Ulvheim releases The pledge rewards are STL-file downloads. I will share the files with Dropbox and the download will be available for years. If you have access to a 3D printer you can print as many copies of the models as you like. You can also vary the scale for more variety. Any type of 3D printer works but FDM is the most economical. Most models will fit inside a 120x120mm print bed. Printed parts can then be painted.
The separate pieces fit together using a clip, also printed. This way you can build several different configurations with the same printed parts. You can of course glue it together if you need extra stability.
Clip system I have been making 3D printable terrain since 2016. I have done one kickstarter before. All files from that kickstarter are available in my store. But read on to the pledges before you buy anything there. I also have a Patreon page and all models done for that is released for free on thingiverse. This includes the previous three Ulvheim releases.

As base goal, I will create these expansions that are compatible with earlier Ulvheim ruins (type B).
Base goal 1 - Roof set
This set gives you the ability to create roofs on your buildings. Not everything has to be ruined. You can with these models build complete buildings, from the smallest shed to the largest castle. The roofs will build up like stairs. There will of course be options for half ruined roofs.
The roofs will be made to fit the Ulvheim A buildings. This is the smaller complete buildings.
The images below is only very rough sketches showing what is possible. The base goal does not include roofs for L-shaped or T-shaped building. Nor is it possible to put roofs on the hexagonal tower etc.
Whole modular roofs Modular roof ruin Base goal 2 - More wall variations
Nothing beats variation and more options. Two new basic walls with lots of ruined options. One solid style and one arc style. Below are some sketches of possible layouts. The final layout is not decided yet.
Solid wall sketches Arc walls sketches Base goal 3 - Corners for round towers
Three new types of corners. With these you can build hexagonal, octagonal and decagonal towers (6, 8 and 10 sides). You will be able to build really high towers. There will be ruined options.
The base goals does not include floors or roofs for these.
Hexagonal and octagonal towers Base goal 4 - Horizontal ruins
The solid walls are made into ruins where the cuts go more horizontal. So you can build a long jagged ruin wall. There will be a couple of variants, from the available solid walls. there will be transitions from whole walls.
3 solid walls made into horizontal ruins These are the pledge levels.
      Ulvheim supporter
If you just want to cheer me on. I will send you a bunch (5) of Terrain4Print stickers. I will also create a unique sticker for this kickstarter and send you a bunch (5).
      Ulvheim worker
If you are on a limited budget and only want a limited selection, this is for you. You will get the base goals and about one third of the unlocked stretch goals. These are STL-file downloads.
      Ulvheim settler
This is the complete Ulvheim download at a reduces price for the first backers. You will get the base goals plus all unlocked stretch goals. These are STL-file downloads.
There is a limited number of these so be quick.
As a special thank you I will also send you a bunch of stickers.
      Ulvheim burgher
This is the complete Ulvheim download. You will get the base goals plus all unlocked stretch goals. These are STL-file downloads.
      Ulvheim necromancer
This the complete Ulvheim download plus all my old premium files (from the shop). You will get the base goals plus all unlocked stretch goals. As soon as the kickstarter payments are processed you will get a download link the the premium files. These are STL-file downloads.
      Ulvheim architect
If you want me to create something custom from your specification, this is for you. Together we will work out the details. It can't be something huge or overly complicated but expect a handful of models. For instance, wall tiles with a special symbols. A couple of special statues or gargoyles.
The files must match the general Ulvheim theme.
I prefer to make these models available to Settlers, Burghers and Necromancers too. But if it is something special you want exclusively, it can be arranged.
If you take this pledge, contact me and describe what you have in mind. This way we can agree on a reasonable level.
As a special thank you I will also send you a bunch of stickers.
      Add on: Stickers
I will create a unique set of stickers for Ulvheim. Supporters, Settlers and Architects will get them for free.
Workers, Burghers and Necromancers have to add $10 to have them. Simply add $10 to your pledge. I will sort it out manually after the project is done. You will get 5 Terrain4Print stickers and 5 Ulvheim kickstarter stickers.
There are lots of more stuff to make for this. This project will have stretch goals. The more pledges that come in, the more stuff will be made. The first three stretch goals are decided already. When they are unlocked, there will be more made available if there is enough interest.
Since I reside in Sweden and use SEK (Swedish crowns) I present stretch goal as % instead.
      Stetch goal 1 - Battlements 133% (20k SEK)
If you want to make a castle type building, playing siege scenarios. This will make it possible. It is basically a low wall with a strip of floor and battlement fitting around both convex and concave corners. The sketch below shows a corner piece for a convex corner. There will of course also be ruined battlements.
Stairs made will fit against the battlements.
Battlement sketch Stetch goal 2 - Windows 167% (also for workers)  (25k SEK)
Two new walls with smaller openings, like windows. This is a sketch of one of them. It will print in two parts, without support. It has a big arc. Inside it a thinner wall with two smaller arcs. The inside of the smaller arcs is open to make windows.
Windowed wall Stretch goal 3 - Rubble piles 200% (30k SEK)
Eight piles of rubble, big and small. Stones in various format, pieces of wood, broken statues etc. There will be round piles and also piles with one or two flat sides to fit against walls and corners.
Two piles of rubble Possible stretch goals
If the three stretch goals above are unlocked, we will have a vote on the next.
Big set of stairs more elegant Floor set with wooden planks instead of stone Pillars Walls with door openings Relief walls Small balcony (from single wall) Big modular balcony Interior balcony Wall fountain Wall statue Wall with big gate Modular foundation to put everything on Cemetary set with walls, gate, tombstones and mausoleums Risks and challenges
I have been creating 3D terrain for quite some time, including a previous successful Kickstarter as well as my many Patreon projects. I feel I have always delivered what I promise (and have often over delivered), however this is not my full-time job and so there exists the possibility that full delivery might take some time if all the stretch goals are unlocked. My aim is that the models will be delivered as soon as they are ready - so base goals should be on time with any of the work-in-progress stretch goals being released piecemeal upon their completion.
Personal/work commitments are the only real challenge, but I have a very caring family that fully supports me and understands my passion for producing my 3D creations.
