I have some CAV models I'd like to enter but I need them to play in the CAV tournament.

Is there a way to do both...?

J--

That could be difficult. Entries have to be in by 5pm on Friday night, and judging takes place that night except for Saturday only attendees. So it depends on when the CAV tournament is. If its on Saturday and you have a full weekend badge we might be able to accommodate you. If you are only attending on Saturday, the models have to be in the competition by Noon and you won't be able to use them during the day. So the answer is, it depends.

Looks the CavCon tournament starts on Saturday the 21st around 9am. I do have a 4 day badge. If I submit the models on Thursday/Friday can I pick them up Saturday morning before 9am...?

Thanks for your help and advice.

Do you have extras of the models? Maybe enter your current planned entries, then get a set of extras either unprimed, based coated, or whatever level you're able. Might be a better way of doing things. The judging happens on Saturday afternoon, IIRC.

Or you could always purchase extras during the Con that way you don't have to haul them around....

Sadly, CAV currently only has 2 factions in production. It took a lot of effort to hunt down the oop models i'm playing. You can't buy them anywhere and if you do find them they are quite expensive. I tracked these down through a combination of BarterTown, Noble Knight Games, and some awesomely friendly people in the CAV forum.

I don't have any extras. I could do proxies but I'd rather miss the painting contest than play with unpainted models or proxies.

I'm weird that way.

Thanks for the advice!

Okay, it might work, but no guarantees. I'm not going to be at the convention until Sunday at this point so you will have to clear it with Debbie at the painting competition registration desk.

Unlikely, doors don't open before 9.
