Dreadmere is a settlement in Reaper's world of Adon. It's set in a swampy environment on top of some ruins. A few warbands/factions/gangs have staked out territories and fight with each other to gain a foothold in Dreadmere. And the Murkillor the Wraith King is a looming threat that casts a long shadow over Dreadmere.

There's a *lot* more than this, but that's kind of it in a nutshell.

We used Dreadmere as our ReaperCon 2016 in-game setting and will do so again in 2017. We hope to provide much more information on Dreadmere very soon for use as a free mini-campaign setting.

Reaper Wolf can provide a ton more info on Dreadmere.

Will provide clarity this weekend but consider this a appetizer.

The Dreadmere doc currently sits at just under 20k words with another 3-4k before I'll submit the manuscript. I have most of next week off so all of my freetime will be devoted to slogging about the muck & mire of Dreadmere.

Dreadmere isn't Transylvania, it's a soggy bordertown in the Dark Moors of Northern Adon (Reaper's world).

I ran the heck out of Dreadmere at RC2017 using D&D 5e.

I promised to a beta doc for editing & layout it a week or two after ReaperCon 2017 but failed to do so because work obligations. So the lateness rests completely on my shoulders.

As for the map (and the content of the sourcebook), I'm leaving large chunks for development later by individual GMs so there's plenty of white space without sacrificing content. I don't write vague sourcebooks.

Even detailed maps have gaps and spaces in them.  That, to me, was one of the best things Paizo did with the Inner Sea region... a massive map that could be done in folios or as a single giant map.  I was able to print it out at 86x42 and it looks amazing.  Someday I'll find another one to fill the other wall I need one in...

Not saying Adon needs a giant-axe map, but if there was one, I would happily plunk down money so I could print it out... or pay for a printed one in something large format...

Ya never know, there might very well be a big honkin' map. ;)

You seem to be a year ahead of the rest of us (unless I slept through 2017 and didn't notice).

Cool!

Thanks everyone for the info, man I wish I could go to Reapercon! Sounds great.  I look forward to learning more about your world and adding it to mine.

I have my own campaign world, with world map, but I purposefully didn't do all the continents so I can add more stuff.  Naming towns is ridiculous!

I was at work and wrote the post in haste. :D

Did you mean RC2016? Or have you been sampling the chronomancy cake again?

Presumably it has some sort of access to the Sea?

[...because pirates..?]

Or do the pirates operating in Northern Adon use Flying Dutchmen style sky galleons?
