2017 Spring Exchange

There is a package headed from Oz to Colorado! Hopefully it will arrive sooner rather than later!

 

I was finishing up the last little bit this morning before taking their glamor shots. I needed to drill a hole for a magnet. In order for it to line up, I put the magnet that needed placed on the bottom of the magnet on the mini and put a tiny bit of paint on the bottom to set it in the base to mark where I needed to drill. Well, that didn't work. So I took the little magnet off, set it aside, picked up the base to look and see if I could eyeball where to drill. I set the base down and to my horror, there was a white thumbprint on the black base! I don't know how I managed to get more white paint on my thumb than could have possibly been on the bottom of that tiny magnet! So quick touch up before their glamor shots and then packed away for their trip!

At least you didn't grab the primer instead of the clear coat can.   Had a friend do that and we both cried a little (me mostly from laughing)

I have heard of people doing that. That would be awful! My husband pointed out that I could have picked up one of the minis instead of the base. That would have also been very bad! This was at least easy to touch up.

UPDATE! I'll be going to my FLGS, Gatehouse Games, on Tuesday the 4th for lessons and such for this project. I'll be posting a WiP Thread soonish.

Late WIP photos.  Been dealing with the passing of three of my furry kids in the last 2 weeks.  Actually took these photos about 3 weeks ago and have just today finished the painting the best my distracted brain will allow.    Sending out this week.

UPDATE!! Painting happened at my FLGS, Gatehouse Games, yesterday. 90% of the mini is done. Need to mess around with the base and check for potential Touch-ups. Took a couple pictures while I was there and will post them sometime later on in the WiP threa for it.

 

Also, got the Mini Painted by my Painter on Monday. Excellent Work! If my Painter has Pictures, go ahead and post them! I'll take a few myself and post them later too.

just received amazing "Toy Soilders and Lollies" from Pochi.  

these are incredible!  I love the dress, and the little stand that works for either figure.   Elder spawn spotted the fish right away, ill have to go back and find the frog. 

You did an excellent job on the water effects too, I am glad you stretched yourself ;)

saving the lollies for after dinner.  

If you have pictures go ahead and post them, other wise ill try taking photos in a few days.
