Question for Feb 2nd...

What will you do on Groundhog Day?

Wonder why we get weather data from a rodent, when we refuse to believe scientists.
Rodents are far more accurate then peoples. They have image weather tracking systems that are millennia beyond our tech.

Question for Feb 2nd...

What did you DO on Groundhog Day?

I cracked a Cadbury creme egg and ate the unhatched stuff inside because I'm an irredeemable monster and believe that's how chocolate rabbits are born.

I was jealous of buglips having Cadbury creme eggs, and my not having any.

I also watched a movie about the life of H. P. Lovecraft with MrBoot; it was more enjoyable than expected (also rather tragic).

Still haven't seen my shadow. I begin to suspect it of returning to the blackness from whence it came in order to report on my doings.

Huzzah!

Question for Feb 2nd...

Are you sure you've seen your shadow yet?

How are we to be sure of anything? All we can do is believe the evidence of our senses, which we have no "proof" are even real. All we can do is believe that the world we perceive is real, not some elaborate hallucination.

I choose to believe that all around me is hallucination. My world makes more sense this way.

What did you DO on Groundhog Day?

Went to the shipyard, troubleshot network issues on the ship, then wrapped up the day with a great dinner at my favorite restaurant in Monfalcone. I could accept repeating most of the day.

I stayed home, and got much more work done on my laptop than if I had gone into the office. Also helped my manager test out the new video conferencing system by being in a remote location.

At home, watched the Warcraft movie. Not... bad. Better than any D&D-branded movie, at least, though that's a low bar.

Prepared for the freezing rain storm coming tonight.
