The thing I like the most about your rendition is that the face seems to show the texture of the burlap.  I don't have the figure but I don't think that it is sculpted with that texture, so kudos to you!

That is a CHARMING creation...sweet & scary. Your work with colors & brush are OUTSTANDING. The eyes & hood are particularly striking; AND I love the check coat. VERY WELL DONE!

Yep, I painted some textures on the burlap bag and the coat freehand was inspired by lumberjack style plaid fabric.

The bloodshot eyes were achieved with a light red/yellow wash on the upper and lower edges of the white part.

Looking back at it, I think the coat will benefit from some highlights and a muddy lower fringe.
