Well because I Metalchaos has been posting his great paint work on these guys, I thought it was time to finish up a few more that I had started already.  Bart was sitting there with his skin base coated.  So I started working on his eyes and then threw down some paint to block in the shadow's of his skin.

the start of another of too many WIP's:

Finally making some time to paint.  So I worked on Bart some more.  Blocked in the basic colors of the clothes and skin.  I then painted up the red on his shirt (looking at it now it needs some more work on smoothing it out).  I then went to work on the skin on the face.

And here is the result of start of today's work.

With the primer down I think I like the way works on the figure.

Awesome work! I especially love how his face is looking! Really, really great colours!

This is going to be a David Bowie Zombie???

David Bowie didn't have heterochromia, he had anisocoria, meaning his pupils were two different sizes, due to an eye injury that left his left eye permanently dilated. Both of his eyes were blue.

In many pictures they seem to be of different colour.

That's why I mentioned it.

I like the light red that you chose for the jacket.

Thanks, I was experimenting with candle light yellow as a highlight color.

Thanks, I have probably spent the most amount of time there. Heck, I usually spend a great deal of time on faces. But with chibis you almost have to.

Ah! That explains things. Was not aware of that. Failed that perception roll and knowledge roll.

It's one of only a handful of subjects that I get pedantic about. ::P:

My first time painting a chibi figure.  Probably not the last.  Painting this made me feel happy.

Safest thing is to pledge $1, wait for the Pledge Manager, check shipping, VAT, and other charges, then wait for the base game at half the KS plus shipping price during a holiday sale.

      The Project

This is our 12th Chibi miniatures project. Over the last 5 years at conventions, our Pony Chibi from our previous KickStarters are always the most popular figures and we love hearing the happy sounds of people seeing them for the first time in the display cases. Now as technology has greatly changed we wanted to add new ponies and accessories to the model line and now offer them to everyone as digital models to print at home for yourself!

      The Miniatures
The digital models will be sent as STL one piece models within a month of the project ending. Models will be sent without supports (we will have a stretch goal to buy software and add supports to all the files).

Due to Stretch Goal #1, the ponies will also be provided with STLs for the different components of the models, so you can use a free product like Meshmixer to mix and match parts from the different models to create your own ponies.

In addition, if you want the models will be available as physical one piece 3-D prints as well in super high quality resin prints. Prints will be grey and will come with bases (as most are not free standing models)

The miniatures will come in two sizes. The base pony figures will normally be 30mm tall to the top of the figurine's head and a couple large pony figures will normally be 50mm tall to the top of the figurine's head (the Nightmare and Kirin are large ponies)

I've been painting up a lot of Starcadia Quest.

It only seems fitting to start out with the Star Wars characters. For most of my Starcadia Quest, I went with a Borderlands style- with lots of black lining against bright colors and even black hard edging to create that Borderlandish look. I plan to convert a few Starcadians into Borderlands characters as well.
Also, it just seemed right to start out with the Star Wars inspired characters.
