Mouse Bard with Lute WIP

Recommended Posts

After spending almost a whole month ill, I finally decided that I would start a new WIP.

After applying Brown Liner, and then gluing up the mini (first for me, always do it the other way).

Its was so brown I couldn't photo, I then just colors at random.  Yea; no idea what I was doing.

So U have a base coat, and from this point I will see where I go to, and what colors I select from the

rest of the spectrum to paint the mini.

So here are six photos of the Bard Mouse, and we begin a new Journey of what to do ?

Now that I have recovered from my illness; I need some fun.

Here are the photos:

I'm confused, brown liner but no primer?

Like I said, I'm mixing up the whole process..Buglips taught us that we can use brown liner on Reaper plastic mini's, I thought;

hey; if can I use it on a Bones mini, DSM Metal ???... I'll find out, if not the mouse (say's it is a mouse on it's package) will get a bath.

and I learn something.

Okay, that explains it! Good luck on your experiment! Liking the bold warm colors by the way!

Moving along and using the brush and pigments.

Having fun adding details and playing with new colors.

Sometimes I'm very tired, so I just paint.

The brown liner works just as well as sealer on the metal mini's for me.

I have to order a whole new pile of liner now!!!

As I quietly mend in the background, I continue to paint.  This is the labor of love part for me.

The artist freedom as it is.  I can do anything with the figure and no-one tells me no, i like that better.

Its just me, my paints, water and brushes.  Here is where the mouse bard is at now.  I have the shadows on his

coat, I'm going to us that yellow underneath there.  Thank goodness I use my color wheel.

I have a better idea as to what I am doing using it,  Looking a bit different now, and I've still not gotten into the

subtle area I'm heading yet.  I have to cut the metal are of the base, guess I'll do that, and set it up  with pins.

Then I coordinate the base into  my color thinking.

Here is the mouse bard with lute...

Lots of picks, but small in pixel size.
