Many thanks! I used Noir black for base coat on the skin so it wouldn't be too shiny. In comparison, the outer areas of the eyes was painted with Pure black.

On the eyes, I opted for a crescent-shaped reflection to represent the moon he is watching.

Finaly, there was even enough room to paint a brownish pink nail bed on the upper part of each claws.

Remember the important is the fun you're having while enjoying the hobby. We run into so much difficulties and problems during our everyday life, painting should never be a burden. I've been painting for 28 years now, I've improved most of my techniques but I know there are a lot of better painters than me out there. The reward is not only the prize at the end, it's often the trip itself. Painting with friends or simply share some pictures of what you painted, when that's a pleasure, you're the winner. The journey becomes the reward.
