Wonderful!  I'm especially taken by the colorful, tropical (?) foliage on the base.  I get the impression he might not just be using that cutlass for combat, but to hack his way through the underbrush on some tropical island while in search of buried treasure to reclaim.  :D

Arrrrrh 'tis magnificent me harty!

I love the way you've captured the classic pirate look with his white trousers, striped vest & the red coat (which was probably acquired from an officer who had to "walk the plank"!). The parrot is great too.

Thank you!

I do love my stereotypes!

As a First Mate he acquired a Navy Officer's coat.

I had some practice on parrots since I painted the 54mm Pirate Queen

Most excellent - although i may be biased as i am a sucker for any mini that has a bird in it!

I was going to praise your blue & gold macaw, but then you linked Maria... hers is even better! (54mmm helps a bit with the facial details) - love em both!

Thank you so much!

Back on my PC I can upload the final shot of the mounted knight Lucardus von Kemet. Because he is a famous character in the world of The Dark Eye, I put a sign on his base to give his name clearly to everyone. As a leader of the Undead and user of dark powers I gave him a look similiar to his underlings. He is a desperate man who wields war in the name of his demonic mistress. Painting process is in the wip forum.

Finally, Mariel Twinspar.  Did her as a speed paint at the con, cleaned her up a bit when I got home:

A few years ago (hmmm…2015), Iron Wind Metals did a Kickstarter for a Chaos Wars revival. The first two armies featured were orcs and elves. I got most of my compact orcish army painted a while back, but was looking at a new set of rules last week (Fantastic Battles).  I needed at least one more leader stand to use my Chaos Wars orcs, and I knew that I had a few orc leaders from that Kickstarter I hadn’t finished.  Happily, I was even able to find them among my boxes of primed figures on sticks.

      Hello all you Reaper Acolytes!

So painted this one as a gift for a friend, now that she's got it, can finally show it off:

A Thumper Standard Bearer,  I think sculpted by Richard Kerr.

It was so hard not go go all crazy Easter Bunny on this one, so added a few Easter eggs, quite literally.  Hopefully his banner is legible!

After listening quite often and watching Anne Forester's Twitch channel, one great tip she gave was to start with your free hand using a white base instead of black.  I did so this time, so hopefully the banner text and the belt are a bit brighter than they otherwise would have been had I used a black base color.

Anyhoos, enjoy and a premature Happy Easter to all!

I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun.

It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians.
Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects.

I will happily include any monster I think will fit.
A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God.

I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your)  fun to create.

EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story.
This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures.

EDIT: And now it will also include Undead!

      ***********

Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now.
The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees.
Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance!

He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained.
Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it.
With this he had convinced the men to follow him.
Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it.

They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief.
He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons.
      Nothing would stop them!

      Finally they reached a clearance.
The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again.
They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick.

Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing.
Birds flew away, trees where falling!

Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground.
A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared.
One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it.

Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle.
