Broken Toad Tooth Fairy

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm calling him done.  His drool is warping (dry air?) and I keep messing with the tooth but enough is enough.  It was a learning experience all round (first bust, first try using WarColour paints, first drool and blood and most of him was painted by airbrush) so I'm calling it a success.

Thanks for looking.

Tooth fairy is breathing heavily.  That tooth is heavy!  Good work.  The tooth is it's own monster when you're looking at something that size.

I would love to get this bust, but I don't want to traumatize my spawn.

also it was out of stock.

It would go really well with the KoD stuff that I am not going to be able to display either.

If you want to go back and tinker later the front of the tooth has lines that are a little too sharp.

but otherwise this is a wonderful project, and I only hope I can do as well in future gruesome endeavors.

I resisted telling my son this was coming to get the tooth he lost a couple weeks back.  He's ok looking at it (7) but my daughter (5) does NOT like it. He is now resting in my display cabinet next to my Gorm and friends.

And thanks all for the kind words.  there are definitely some things that need tweaking on him (some minor mold lines I found very late in the painting process, the tooth...) but I'll work on improving on the next piece and the one after that.  Happy with the skin overall and the mouth and back turned out much better than I expected so I'm very pleased with those.
