Those are great and the base is really cool too!

Thank you!

Experimenting with Fluo paints and a Rolling Pin.

I'm quite happy with them,

Great color, very realistic for ants!  Now where did I leave that bag of fire ant pesticide... :poke:  I wondered if you had that rolling pin, I have a few of their others and have been pretty impressed with the results.

Thank you!

I recently bought that Aztec Rolling pin, liked it a lot so got me a Greek and a Egyptian one too. And the Plain one for easy flattening.

This is the first base I painted that was done with a pin.

The others are all resin bases, and I have loads of those too.

My Lost World is expanding...figured a Rolling Pin would pay itself back after a few bases.

The Fluo colours I used make the ants look better than I expected.

Recommended!

The Ants look TERRIFIC. I love the colors you chose. The rollers are producing some SPLENDID bases. OUTSTANDING WORK!

I now have a tremendous need to scratch though.

Can you kill a giant fire ant with fire? If so: AH! KILL THEM WITH FIRE!

The orange you've achieved looks very fiery, as you said. Everything about these critters is nice: the ants, the base with its molded stonework, and the skull, too - it adds some ambience... of death! Excellent work!

But what if they're fire ants?

Delightfully creepy! I love how bright they are against the muted neutral base (which turned out nicely as well). :)

Huzzah!

Thank you all for the comments and likes.

Happy you like the little critters.

I do need to improve my base building with the rolling pin.

All in all not bad for a first try.
