Talisman 4th Edition Minis

Recommended Posts

Here's another batch of Talisman 4th Edition mini's.  These have been great models to practice on, but good grief the production quality is bad.

Also still having trouble figuring out how to take decent pictures.  Was having problems with them being too dark, now I'm going the other direction.

Nice job on all! I had painted a few Talisman 4th ed figures myself in the past year.. The production quality gets better in the expansions but the base game is not so much..

Very cool colours!

Are you using flash when taking the pics?

Maybe if you use a little box, put a light over it and then take a pic without flash?

Finally managed to get a mini off my shelf of shame.

This guy belongs to one of my players the he had asked me to paint up back in 2017. The tunic was kind of a joke, but we decided to run with it. Last game session, he had used the bathroom and everyone was giving him a rough time about needing to have to repaint my bathroom given how long he was in there, and the fact that no one else could use it for the next hour. As suggestions of color schemes were being thrown out, one player suggested pearlescent green. I wasn't too thrilled with that, but it said how about a pearlescent cream color, which made me think of Sophie Champange. So, I grabbed the bottle, gave it a quick shake, put some on my pallette, and showed it off. It didn't seem too appealling on a white pallette, so I grabbed this players mini off the table and slapped a bit on the tunic. The owner of the mini said he really liked the color, so here we go after toning it down a bit with some Agrax Earthshade.

Painting this guy up for ex's husband for their new campaign...
Again, nothing much yet, but gotta keep track of colors....

He's been sitting on the shelf of shame for a while, and the skin was done with GW Tanned flash, but I am going over that with SC 75 Arabic Shadow..

eyes had been done at some point, so exact colors unknown...

check back another time to see progress....

Another delightful sculpt from Oathsworn Sensible Shoes line, the Tabaxi Monk/Mage/Bard (SS38).  Had some trouble settling on the color scheme, so she sat half painted for quite a while.
