Mantic Terrain Crate

Went in with some friends for 6 crates.

Im thinking the wheels of the mine carts should be pretty easy to slice off and reset to fit the Secret Weapon mine tracks. (Assuming they're not a match.)   And actually, probably could slice those tracks down the center pretty easily as well, and add spacers made from plastic rod or even sprue, assuming they're too small; or cut out a section if they're too big, to make them align with SW as well.

Ooo... going in with some one. That is a good idea... since part of the problem is there are duplicates of a number of things I'd only want one of.... but what do you do with the things there are only one of? (The chair, and the Astrolade for example...)

By throwing them as hard as you can at the other person until they let you have the minis you wanted.

That is what you meant. Right?

Three of us went in for 2 crates each (so far! ::D:)  and a couple of the add-ons, so yes, I can see there's going to be a big trading session in on our future where we can exchange our duplicates with each other.

Snowball fight to the death.::D:

Alternately, a nice civilized discussion between two reasonable human beings might work to resolve the issue t.....wait, what I am saying?

Nevermind, go with the first idea; it's much more realistic.

Y'know what would be perfect? If they allowed the option to mix and match the contents of a crate. Yes, I know that the option to buy (some of) the stuff separately exists, but what i mean is the ability to pick four random packs (2 from the battlefield, 1 from each of the others for example) and pay the crate price for it.

As it stands I'm wavering back and forth on this; there's some stuff that I'd like to get, but I don't want the entirety of any of the crates.

Isn't that what the Box of Goodwill is for? ::D:   Keep what you want, and exchange the rest for BOG stuff.

Four sets cost $80, which is close to the single-crate pledge level of $75. fwiw, You don't get the bonus items with the crate, or the box.

Having bought resin furniture pieces for as much as $5 (and as little as under $.50), you can always look up the prices of the pieces you're interested in from other websites and compare prices.

The longer this one is live, the more I'm questioning if I really should pledge (even for the two sets I'm in at the moment).

I backed Zealot's Kickstarter, I have the Dungeon Saga furniture, I'm getting the Secret Weapon mine and I have a couple of pieces of resin stuff (a bar and a blacksmith for example). There is torture equipment in Bones III and Conan had tables and stools and chests and ...

The only set that provides something new I could use is the campsite (and the horse/cart from the baggage set or the blacksmith set).

Furthermore, I find that there are too many of the same pieces in certain sets, whereas other sets could benefit from a couple of added "same" pieces (like chairs and tables for the tavern). On the other hand, price looks good ... but ... I have not yet fully forgotten the way Mantic handled Dungeon Saga and I do not like their strategy of now adding bonus items to crates instead of sets. With Zombicide Green Horde going live soon, this will be a close call.

I just want the dungeon debris. I could make my own but this appeals to my lazy side. If the option comes where I can get just that then I will but I don't want a whole crate.

I look at the Dungeon Debris and I see a city riot instead of a dungeon.... And I am starting a Curse of the Crimson Throne game in just a few weeks. *Sniffle* 'Twould be perfect!

There is a lot I like in this KS and some things that I just do not want.

Like a base pledge in a Bones KS this just such a great deal for a none fragile product.

While I like bones I have thousands and thousands of minis so it is easier for me to forgo a base pledge.

But with terrain accessories I only have over a hundred pieces so this KS even with the things I do not want is still a great deal for me.
