So,if I understand this right...... I can back at $1 to get access to the pledge manager. From there, I can add funds for as many crates as I want? Also, does the dollar pledge give access to the KS bonuses?

I don't know what you mean by KS, bonuses, but my understanding is that if you back for $1 now, that you'll be able to add crates and add ons in the pledge manager. The prices of those crates I don't know, but I would assume the add ons would be $20.

Iam suugestimg that those who don't have money for this now, do not necessarily have to wait until retail.

But I'm also with Kodiak Bear that people should pledge now in order to unlock more stuff.

So, I went in for $1, and asked the following question:

By going in for $1, can I increase the pledge for as many crates as needed when the pledge manager opens? Also, do these crates qualify for the KS crate bonuses?

My group is looking at this, but a couple of them wanted this clarified before we actually commit.

Thanks

The question was answered by 2 other backers, both said yes.

Didn't think that would happen when I went in, but I've dropped my pledge completely now. I expected a couple of different things from a KS that was titled "terrain" - but almost all I'm seeing is furniture, which I already have a lot of. Many of the pieces on offer hold no interest for me (I already  have them or do not need/want them as I do not use tiny pieces when playing RPGs ... i.e. I do not put down every single book on the table ... and tracks that are 5cm long ... I had expected a bit more).

Furthermore, I do not feel very appreciated as somebody backing for sets (originally even four of them) when they more and more only add stretch goals to the crates. I already accepted certain disadvantages involved in backing for sets (slightly higher price no crate even if you back for four sets) because choosing the sets was worth it to me. But not getting a large number of the stretch goals - despite the fact that they can easily be attributed to certain sets - makes me feel I'm not getting my money's worth (even more so because even backing for sets, there are a number of pieces that will not see any action).

I really wanted to back this, but I have stopped throwing my money at Kickstarters that do not live up to my needs and expectations, do not draw me in 100%.

I was also hoping to back for just a few sets. The fact that the sets cost a little more overall is absolutely fine. Very understandable. I'm happy that they are letting backers get the sets they need most. The fact that the sets will now contain less items makes this an easy pass.

Imagine if Reaper decided to remove one miniature from each Bones core set add-on. For instance, you could get Heroes 2, but it won't have the cleric unless you pledge for the whole core set... and it'll cost a little more on the whole, Wouldn't fly.

After backing Reaper and Dwarven Forge, this was the next thing I needed. So I was curious:

1) Where did you get your furniture?

2) What were you wanting instead of furniture?

3) Is this more lop-sided than say, Reaper KS's?

I recall in Reaper's original KS that if you didn't get a core 'Vampire' set, you were really 'leaving minis on the table'... I bought three Vamp sets despite already having plenty of minis already :)

Furniture: I backed Zealot's Kickstarter (lots and lots of great resin furniture), I backed Dungeon Saga (doors, chests, bookshelves), I backed Conan (tables, benches ...) and a couple of others. Bones III has got torture equipment. I also bought some resin furniture from a company called Ziterdes (a bar, a barrel rack, a bakery ...).

Along with furniture, I would have liked real terrain ... trees for example, hills, ... a bridge. And bigger pieces, not tankards and cutlery (which I don't use in my games).

It's not about being more loop-sided than another Kickstarter (and the Vampire set happened before I "discovered" Kickstarter). I decide for each KS individually if it's a good deal for me (!). As I said, I wanted to get four sets, but from different crates. I can live with having to pay a few bucks more and not getting a crate. I can even live with not getting a couple of those "crate bonus" stretch goals. But I feel now that the balance between stretch goals that also go into sets and those that are only for the crates has shifted too much for my taste. I'll keep watching the project and might go back in, but definitely not for the originally planned 60-80 dollars.

It has been pointed out to me that the horse in the Blacksmith & Stable set includes, uhm... poo.

So, I can honestly say that at least one model in this Kickstarter looks like broccoli....

The Auld Grump - and that it fits in the wheelbarrow... Good... attention to detail?
