I thought they made it clear it was the same plastic as the Dungeon Saga furniture in the campaign? That wasn't too bendy.

I kept hearing them say the same plastic as used in TWD as a lot of people were moaning about the bendy DS stuff, there are 2 plastics for DS furniture hard HIPS for doors and bendy for all the other furniture and TWD has no bendy PVC

TBH the gold stuff looks like the hard TWD style PVC but its all the brown furniture and items that has me on edge, i really do hope im wrong as the sculpts are really nice

I don't think my DS doors were HIPS. Fairly certain they were the same material as the other furniture.

But, you are right, I remember now they were saying TWD, not DS. I didn't like the sculpts on this, looked too chunky so I skipped. Probably why I forgot.

They do look pretty nice painted up though.

The doors are definitely a different plastic, a very hard rigid plastic, ive even brought extra sets of them at retail.

I agree they do look nice painted up and thats the problem, how long will they last all nicely painted up with a bendy material!?

We should be getting our 1st reports from the Australasia backers pretty soon, in fact im going to open a tab up with the KS comments and keep an eye on it!

I forgot theirs started shipping out earlier! There are enough little fiddly pieces that it'll be easy to tell if they're bendy or hard plastic.

The FAQs are unhelpful and state the plastic is the same type used in the TWD games and the Dungeon Saga.

Pretty sure that means it is pvc, with varying degree of wiggle.

That's what I have been assuming since Day One.

I do not own any of the DS stuff - but I have painted it, and, really, had no complaints.

It cleaned easily with a knife, and while the plastic was warped in a few places, a hot water bath put things right in a jiffy. Harder and firmer than most Bones minis, and sturdily made.

As long as you are not expecting HIP then you will not be surprised by the SD stuff.

Looking forward to the inevitable argument when we get our Terrain Crate box in the mail. ::P:

The Auld Grump - we shoulda gotten another Library set....

So will it have Bones’ problems with spray primers as well??

What problem?

(I spray-primer'd 1k+ so far without noticing an issue, but then I'm also not very fastidious, and I used dip afterwards)

What primer are you using?

Dip?

By dip I'm guessing the Army Painter tins, where you dunk/submerge the entire mini and then shake off the excess.

... And not the anti-toon dip from the Roger Rabbit movie...
