Still nothing here in Oz.

Bit annoying that we don’t get the plastic inserts like the retail box. Do the Kickstarter boxes have more items in them than the retail versions?

Yes we got quite a bit more irc

I can answer that, cause it's the reason I dropped out of the kickstarter.

Mantic was never clear on the hardness of the plastic being used. They kept on saying it would be the same as the minis found in their Walking Dead game.

Mantic made the exact same statement regarding The Star Saga plastic.

The problem with that statement is The Walking Dead terrain, the vehicles, batticades, and supply tokens, are made of a hard non bendy plastic. Similar to that of the Bones container or Wyrmgears wings.

The minis of the Walking Dead Characters are made of a slightly softer plastic, still firmer than Bones though.

The Star Saga character minis are made of a similar plastic as the Walking Dead characters.

Howevet The Star Saga terrain is a much softer bendy plastic that is nowhere near the hardness of the Walking Dead terrain.

Fear of not knowing what I'd be getting is what made me back out of this campaign.

Thanks, Pretty much this ^^, il also make it clear i wasnt expecting resin or hard plastic like GW but the same grade PVC that was used on TWD terrain and the actual sculpts are good and i have no probs with them just the material used, i did go to the beginning of the KS comments but went to another tab(FB)and when i come back it refreshed and went back to the top :( il try again tonight.

Neither did I, thanks for that.

Yep - and add in the library ladders - I have plans.... (Mostly involving a wizard/sorcerer type casting spells as his ladder goes 'Wheee!' - Animate Object + Too Many Disney Cartoons = Fun For The Whole Family.... ::D: )

The primer and liner seem to give similar results. The paint only is not enough...unfortunately.

Ashen Brown coated well and stuck well - maybe because it was an HD color? (One of the models does, indeed, look like crap... and can go either behind the horse or into the wheelbarrow - I have plans for the kids game.... ::P: )

The Auld Grump - I should have bought another Town crate....

No problem with the Ashen Brown coming off - but I think that I may be sending for some Army Painter leather brown primer... I'm gonna need a lot of brown....

The Auld Grump - still kind of amazed that Army Painter got the license for 'official' D&D paints....

I pulled back from this for the same reason. I just wasn't sure what the final material would be like. I bought some of their retail Dungeon Saga sets a few years back and like those quite a bit. The plastic is quite firm. For this project, trying to get a clear answer from Mantic during the kickstarter actually left me more unsure about what the final material would be like. If these are good and firm, I'll be happy to order some at retail. Luckily I already have lots of tents and wagons from the Tabletop Props KSs. Definitely could use those walls and fences though.

I just got mine. They delivered it, like 10 minutes ago! I love it! The cart was a little twisty but a hot water bath should work perfectly!

The material feels nice and sturdy and I can’t wait to paint the comfy chair!

the walls are a little short but really they’re to the scale they showed in the KS. It’s just shorter than I thought when it’s in my hand

Yeay! A forum I can post in for my TerrainCrate order! I got in late via BackerKit so I can't post on KS. I'd say order is completely random, since mine is arriving Monday via UPS and I only got in on pre-order. Town Crate, Wizard's Study, Dungeon Debris, Torture Chamber, Temple, and DS Furniture are on the way.

I regret not ordering the campsite and will probably get one or two once they show up in retail. Bed pallets and tents are useful things in most adventures.
