Thanks all for your kind comments!  Keep the guesses coming, no one got it yet - but good ideas so far!

I think I should give a hint.  The color in the bag is silver (tmm) though I since hit it with a brown wash.  So it looks a little more like foil wrapped objects now.  There are two letters on the bag (sideways) that I tried to freehand.  They aren't super good, but you can tell if you already know what you're looking for.  They are the last two letters spelling out what's in the bag (imagine the bag has been torn open and the other letters have been ripped off or are folded over.)

l will reveal by May 14 if no one gets it before then.

So I gave mom her mini.  She was pleased I think.  Wants to get a glass bubble thing to put over the top.  I should have thought of that.

So the bag was supposed to be a bag of Hershey's kisses.  There was no way I was going to fit the whole word kisses on it so I just did the last two letters.  Shiny foil wrapped chocolates inside.  My mom is a big chocolate fan.  Plus kisses for mother on Mother's Day.  How appropriate.  Thanks for playing along everyone!

      Hello friends!!
I'm wanting to do a little market research and I'm hoping I can get your help.
For Bones V I sculpted a bunch of kids heroes and their pet companions. These were some of my favorite figures to work on and I'd like to do more. To be very very clear I have NO indication that Reaper will be producing any more of those types of figures and I'm in no way promising to create anything we discuss here. I have no shortage of ideas when it comes to new kid heroes but I'm wanting to see what types of figures people would want if hypothetically I decided to create more.
I really like the idea of doing brother/sister sets, offering male and female options for particular races or themes. Simply from a design perspective it allows me to explore an idea more fully. Again, this is purely for my personal side projects and fun, not related to any official releases. That said, it's nice to know what the thoughts were about the ones I've already made and what holes people may want filled within that genre.
      My questions are:
•What did you like/love/hate/ignore about the kid heroes from Bones V?
•What themes or types of kid heroes would you be interested in?
•What purpose would they serve for you? Just fun to paint? Have kids who want to play but struggle to find a figure that represents them? Using them as stand ins for hobbits/halflings/gnomes or other vertically challenged races?
•What themes would you like to see explore in this context? Steampunk, modern, arthurian, more "random fun" types, traditional villager or starting hero types? Dragonkin, Genasi or other less popular fantasy races?

Haven’t posted anything in a while, so may as well break the silence with a WIP.  I cleaned up Mashaaf, glued it together and stuck it on a CD base.  Didn’t take pics until after the brown liner coat.

Then base coated all but the base.  The claws and leg things and tail thing got maroon red.  The belly got nmm gold shadow.  The upper abdomen got a sample purple color and I extended that to the bottom of the tentacles.  The face and upper tentacles got entrail pink.  The back and body got nightsky blue and the rocks on its back got walnut brown.  Finally I used holly berry for the “eye spots”
This is where it’s at right now:

Probably will need another coat of each but I’ll try to get the base and rocks on the back dry brushed first since that may mess up some other areas.

Better late than never.  I started these 3 months ago and finished them about 1 month ago.  Finally have a halfway decent photo area again, so I can post pictures!
Over winter break, my elder digit and I spent an afternoon playing with some plastic tree armatures from the train store.  You have to glue your own flock on to make the leaves, etc.  I wanted to make a cluster so I carved some foam into the shape of a little hill and painted white.  The trees were not strong enough to punch through the foam though, so I ended up using the glue gun to get them to stay in.  More recently we tested out a mini string of led lights and tried trimming the tiny trees.  Did not work out great - I lost a lot of foliage in the process and the lights are spaced out too far for the scale - there’s wire all over the place.  Oh well, I had to use it after all that work, so it is the background for this jolly crowd.
