Well done!

I wish I could draw like that!

You can, it just takes study and practice.

I know that this is true, but the limited time I have to hobby all goes into Miniature Painting, Cooking and Hiking.

Still I love seeing people's art and on some rare occassions I try to draw something.

Update on the previous pencil drawing. There is a color version of it.

There is a forum devoted to Lizardmen armies. And on that forum they were having a contest for art vaguely themed around Lizardmen. Under the (rather curious) rules of the contest teaming arrangements were allowed.

Anyway I teamed up with a gent who goes by N810 (pronounced Nathan) who is rather good at applying color, I also wrote some words and our aim was to create something that looked like a graphic novel page.  It is a huge file size, so it's tagged.

Under the strange rules on that Warhammer Lizardmen forum one can enter solo as well as on teams.

This drawing was my solo entry in the same competition:

(It illustrated a piece of fan fiction also found on that same forum.)

Pull Quote from the story:

The City Burns

"...There were a great many weapons to be had, but he found himself drawn to the obsidian axe carried by Revered Guardian Xanst ... the weapon was buried in some rat-like monstrosity of twisted flesh and mottled fur..."

Cool drawing!

Thanks Xherman. Somebody on the Lizardmen forum said they thought it looked like a rock album cover. [?]

There are work in progress photos of the axe drawing, but...those might be as interesting as watching paint dry.

Turning the page in the sketch book revealed this:

Tree...Menhir...Runes

This one was mainly experiments in combining Sharpie® and pencils.

Many Rock Album covers use things like fire, axes andmenhirs, runes too actually.

Fantasy and Scifi are prominent in the Rock and Metal album covers.

Took a break from cataloging the sketchbook and drew a map:

Double green stripes approximate the equator. Can't decide whether to add mountains...

      New Slightly Revised Rules:
    • By TGP
      The roolz:

      The obligatory rules posting:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. If I fail to post a question, Inara (possibly) will post a question of her own choice.
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
3.5 (Rule 3 may be the 2nd most broken rule.)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.

Greetings forum things! Once again, I, the Griffin of Grumpiness snag the tattered robe of the Quisitor in my beak for this the ninth month of Old Rome's calendar and also the month all Turkeys Dread!

      Question for Thursday, Nov 1st:
Halloween is behind us, how long will you tolerate the decorations thereof?

When do yours (if you had some) get stowed away for next year?

      Step 0

Penny ^ ...New model in blister. ^

This guy is big enough to take up the footprint of four infantry skeletons. The penny is 19mm diameter. The plan is to give the figure a 40mm square, equivalent to four 20x20 bases arranged in a square.

He will count as four members of the unit he'll be assigned to.
