About this project

This project is designed to bring you new Warriors of Baalor miniatures for the Darklands fantasy wargame from Mierce Miniatures!

Warriors of Baalor are powerful, heavily armoured humans loyal to Baalor, the evil power of the Great Ice Sheet, lord of the Fomoraic and the greatest threat the Lands of Darkness have ever known.

All Warriors of Baalor were human, once, but have been turned to Baalor's cause by the twin promises of power and slaughter. They are rewarded with a strength, skill and fearlessness unknown to mortal men, and if they survive the wars of the Ice they can become the leaders of Baalor's great war-hosts, answering only to him.

We've already begun work on the Warriors of Baalor sculpts!

An example of how the unit will look in miniature form. This is Aanan, Gultain of Baalor, the champion of the Shieldwall Warriors of Baalor Unit - digitally sculpted by Bob Płociennik

The easiest (and cheapest!) way to get hold of the new Warriors of Baalor is by pledging for one of the infantry starter hosts, shown below. Scroll down and you'll see loads more starter hosts than just this one - and there'll be more versions of the Warriors of Baalor as this project continues, too!

The Darklands: Warriors of Baalor Kickstarter project is not just designed to bring you the new Warrior of Baalor miniatures for the Fomoraic, though - it's also a great opportunity to get into the dark fantasy world of Darklands for the first time, to expand your existing Darklands collection or maybe just to grab some fantastic miniatures to paint! As you can see, we've give you the option to purchase everything in resin, if you're more of a painter than a gamer!

Make sure you check the comments on this project too for sneak peeks, Darklands lore, hints, tactics, painting advice and general insanity! The community that builds during these Kickstarter projects is amazing, and even if you just read the comments, you'll gain so much more from Darklands: Warriors of Baalor!

Mierce Minis are usually pretty tempting for me, but in the end they have quite a backlog for me to buy more. If they end up showing a big beast like dragons or something I will probably chip in again. I also have a ton of KD minis coming to me.....one day.

I'm expecting a large shipment from them pretty soon which will hopefully be everything that is part of the April and June shipping waves.. that would leave me with just one order which isn't due for delivery until at least November.. I don't think we even have sculpts yet

Btw, I seriously undercalculated the size of the murderbear. He's huuuuge.

I still kinda want to use him in a diorama with Tom Meier's elves...something about the shocking difference in size appeals to me...

What I am picturing in my head now would be awesome....do it, do it, do it....

went on one of their kickstarters. Nice minis, cost is a little high, slower than bones iii to fulfill. communication very subpar. didn't chance address before shipping despite numerous requests, had to be re-shipped.

not doing another KS with them. .

Wait now.. say what? Communication very subpar? I've been backing several of their kickstarers, and the one thing that strikes me is that the creators are posting comments for their project practically non-stop 24/7. I suppose that perhaps you refer to your specific contextual happening about the change of address? Their shipping delays are an issue for me, too, though, as they now have hundreds of "todo" characters. But they are releasing at a steady rate, so one will be able to pick up any of their stuff directly from their webstore given some time. :)

Neat stuff, but I'm still waiting on a small mountain of stuff from Mierce. (and have another pile of things to paint  )

I might get back on the Mierce backer train late this year, if things keep moving along the way the have been.
