DixonGrfx
I was in on all 3 campaigns. And I did not pledge enough in any of them to secure one of all the minitures offered as a reward. KS1 = $250 pledge KS2 = $500 pledge KS3 = $700 pledge Now I sit here with piles of figures. And it's awesome. It is nice to dump a big bag of heroes on the table and let the guest at game night find a figure to play with. Or let a nefew paint a monster to take home as a keepsake. If the past 2 KSS are an indication: $10 will garner a pair of giants $10 - $30 will garner a large monster or terrain $20 will garner a set of 12 paints $50 will garner an expansion with some great monsters. $60 will garner a huge monster $100 will garner the core Pledge what you feel comfortable with. You'll get fantastic rewards.
Sirithiliel
I plan to go in for large monsters I know I will want, as well as any small mini that interests me Like I did for Bomes 3. I definitely don't need a core set, for those I will cherry pick what I want at retail But to get the large guys at a discount? Yes please! I'd love to see a giant eagle, elephant, Phoenix and etc this time ;P Maybe a cool sea serpent and oriental dragon
Nimphona27
so if i was looking for the core + paints... Then when the addon feature opens pick a few large monsters or expansion set (dragons or such) and the hut (if available as an addon) that would be about what i am saving for then with postage and customs to the UK i would be sorted!!! I assume the addons and expansions are based on the whole pledge total they make? therefore will need to keep an eye for announcements? Thanks guys :D <3 Mucho love :) Edited November 10, 2016 by Nimphona27

The way the Kickstarters work, you pledge some amount. Say you want a core set and one of the paint sets (which if I remember right are like $25?). If patterns hold true, core set will come in at $100, so you pledge $125. Then, shortly after the Kickstarter campaign ends, the Pledge Manager will open. You'll need to go in and finalize your pledge amount to lock in your rewards. So, basically you'd have $125 of credit in the PM. You go select the Core Set and whatever the Paint Set is, then checkout and your credit is "spent" on those items. But of course, the awesome thing then is, if after the campaign has officially ended you decide "Hey I really want that dragon and its only another $10..." well, you can add more funds to the PM, plunk down your $10 and get that dragon. Or whatever else you want. It also helps if you're in a boat like I was, where during the weeks the campaign was running you can't afford to up your initial pledge, but want to throw more money in afterwards (and of course pick up more amazing minis).
Cranky Dog
Hard to say how much I spent on average in the first three Bones KS because several real life events modified the potential total. - KS1 is the one I spent the least on. One reason being that Canadian shipping was free that time (turned out to be far more expensive than Reaper originally planned). - KS2, spent more, had to pay for shipping now, but was unemployed at the time. So I didn't go "All in!" like I wanted to. Canadian dollar was about 80¢ US (or +25%) - KS3, spent the most. Now employed again. Still had to pay for shipping. Chose a lot of things, including extra sets. And the Canadian dollar wasn't very favorable, about 77¢ US (or +30%). - KS4... Still fully employed with no outstanding debts. But not knowing what's to come, I don't know how much I will pledge for. I might be more selective, or I may pledge like a drunken sailor after 8 months at sea. Canadian dollar currently at 75¢US (or +33%). Reaper is working on more favorable shipping options, but nothing set in stone at the moment. I figure I'll probably go for the presumed core set + paints. Edited November 10, 2016 by Cranky Dog

If i can get enough together i will pledge whatever i have at the time and just see what happens :D thank you :)

That i can add even if during it i can't afford to increase the pledge i can at least at some point afterwards! If i can get enough together i will pledge whatever i have at the time and just see what happens :D thank you :) Just so you know, not all KS allow post-campaign add-ons. Either in one shot, or gradually. Then again, most KS campaigns don't have hundreds of options either, so generally it isn't necessary. Reaper is one of those that offers an unusually large amount of flexibility. The post-campaign pledge manager is open for months, and you can add a few bucks here and there and spread your total amount spent over several months (and I say *add* money, not *remove*, 'cause that needs direct contact with the Reaper reps). But eventually, Reaper *will* close down the manager, meaning all sales and selections are FINAL! And there will be plenty of email updates to remind you of it weeks in advance. But just don't wait until the last minute to do your selections. Then in becomes a PITA for everyone to manage. Some of us regulars are guilty of this. Limited funds, but so many choices (like have $1 to spend in a huge candy store).

Thanks guys :D <3 Mucho love :) So yes, the most likely outcome at this time is that the Hut you mention would be an Option, something like +$25 or +$40 or similar. I honestly do not know the price, we have not yet received our formal quote from China which would allow us to price it properly. Regardless. You would increase your pledged amount by that amount, and then choose it in the Pledge Manager. So if you had pledged nothing, you now pledge $X, and if you had pledged $100 already you now pledge $100+$X. ($125, $140, whatever the reality is). To explain the Bold bit: We will open the project with an assortment of models that form the basis for the Bones IV Core Set. As funds are raised to pay for the molds needed to make each set, we offer a Stretch Goal - an additional new, higher goal. For instance, the initial goal might be $30,000 to make these 24 models. the next goal - the first Stretch Goal - might be "at $50,000, we can also make these 5 models, which follow this theme (maybe they're all wizards, or all Trolls, or all fly)". Each time we hit a new goal, we announce another new goal. Eventually we run out of time and or backers, and that's the end of the new things we can add and make. Each time we announce that we reached a goal and here is our next goal, an email automatically goes out to all of the backers, sent from kickstarter.com. You can watch the site itself for news and updates, chat with other backers, Matt, Ron, Talin, several of the sculptors and myself, have your questions answered, and be a little silly and enthusiastic, or you can wait for emails to arrive in your inbox and visit the project site only when you want to modify your pledge to include new rewards and goals. How much you decide to interact with the platform and community is really up to you. A lot of the forum members here spend time over there interacting, making friends, and being generally helpful, and I spend every minute I am not with my family or asleep over there trying to help people with their questions. It can appear a very complex system form the outside, but once you have seen it in operation it makes a lot of sense and is really quite simple. Complexity comes from the number of rewards you must choose among (few people actually get one of everything). I suggest looking at Bones 3's front page. You will see several very large and slightly overwhelming images at the top, but as you scroll down you will see how each individual stretch goal was released with a target goal, and a discrete set of models. just to showcase some of them, to help illustrate: I put these behind a spoiler button, because of their size. This is all of the Optional rewards. To get these, you needed to increase your pledge by the dollar amount shown. Many backers got several of these, and used our Pledge manager tool to help them work out the math, and also store and remember their selections. Note how on it's own, it's a little much to take in. That's a lot. Remember though that each item was added all by itself, and in most cases, was the only item added to the project that day, giving you time to see the project grow, where now it's kind of all in your face. Now, on a given day, we might have had images like these go out via email to all backers: This day, we reached the announced goal, and these models became available for +$10. The next day, we had this: On that day, we added these 4 models to the Core Set. That means if you pledged for a Core Set, you got these 4 models without having to do anything extra. The price of the Core Set did not change, only the number of models you got for your $100 increased. This encourages you to grow the project by sharing with your friends - eventually the core Set in Bones 3 grew to over 156 models, so it was an incredible bargain over retail, and hard to pass up. This process would continue throughout the project, adding new rewards and growing various sets to attract new backers and encourage existing backers to seek more rewards. Cranky Dog
Looking at those pics makes me wonder what the theme of Bones IV will be. I was suddenly thinking the same thing. Bones 1: Cemetery, then catacombs, then caverns, then deeper and deeper... Bones 2: Board game Bones 3: 8-bit video adventure game Bones 4: Little Red Riding Bones going through the woods with a basket of goodies to grandma's house Baba Yaga's hut? Since the hut is always moving, the end goal is always in sight, yet out of reach. Edited November 10, 2016 by Cranky Dog

Talae
This discussion makes me realize that this time around will most likely not be during my summer vacation. My work productivity will suffer since I will not be on vacation. Checking in hourly to keep a running total of the pledged amount will probably need to be a larger team effort this time. I really enjoyed the interactions I had during the campaign in the comments section, the forum thread, and the private chats about the real-time data collection with a number of forum members. Maybe I will use some of my time off at the end of the KS.
