I hearby declare it is officially summer. None may naysay me!

I live in Saskatchewan. Calling it summer gives absolutely no protection from the chance that it might snow.

Right now I'm wondering if the timing of Bones IV will be able to avoid crossing into the timing of GenCon and the like.

I'm sure Reaper has concepts and sculpts from KS3 that didn't make it into the campaign. (i.e. the halfling farmers, cart, and beast of burden as just one example.) So that would be the easiest place for them to start. And we have all seen the preview figs from last year's ReaperCon. KS4 has been in the works for a while. To what degree only the insiders know.  What I have been really been holding out for is the Legendary Encounters KS. Hopefully that is still in the works.

it would be pretty safe to assume that reaper not only has mapped out and planned everything that is going into the bones 4 campaign a long time ago, but also has pre-production prints or resin masters all ready to show off. Might be a few late commisions still in the render stage though.

Best not to speculate on such things.

Too easy for folks to take speculation as gospel which can lead to unfounded expectations.

Here's hoping that some of that nice Conan terrain ends up as part of this campaign!!

As I recall, the Conan terrain may be available on that Kickstarter, not a Reaper KS.

There was some discussion at ReaperCon about the possibility of the terrain being included as a stretch goal for Bones IV in addition to the C:ROM kickstarter.

Like many others I didn't back for the B3 core as I already have so many minis from the B1 and B2 core sets and to be honest I still prefer metal for smaller man sized minis.

I'm with you there. For human-sized minis I prefer metal as the detail is better.

For big minis though (and especially bulky minis) it's Bones all the way.

I was really on the fence about Ma'aldrakar, and if I'd known how big T-Rock was, I probably wouldn't have got Ma'al. Not that I mind, really, but I'm not a display painter and really just wanted one "challenge piece", and T-Rock would be more useful at the table as well.

Of course they're big enough that I could build decent speakers into their bases, so now I can have stereo.

I'm sure you could get your money back and then some by re-selling any big minis you no longer want.

I'd love for that, especially the snake. If I could get large feathered wings for the snake I'd be all over it.

Not going to speculate, for we know how the interwebz can be to take such things as gospel and then poor @Reaperbryan will be all "Noooooo we made no such promise!" when someone in the Bones IV KS Comments brings up "Wharz de Conan Stufftz?"

Don't worry, ReaperBryan! We'll form a guard to protect you all from the internet trolls! *researches and prepares the epic spell EMPocalypse*

You know, sometimes I think that the people "protecting" Bryan and Reaper cause him more grief than some of the trolls in the comments...

Nonsense! All that matters is intention. Consequence has no bearing on the validity of intended protection... even when the protectee ends up in a full body cast:wacko:
