Maglok
Don't think it would be unfair for international people to yell 'foul!' now would it? :) I would also prefer Dwarvenforge and Reaper wouldn't run in the same month, that would kinda suck. :)
Granite26
I will say that it is a little weird to have marketing materials listing a website that doesn't at least have a 'Coming Soon' splash on it.

End of Summer (i.e. September) might actually work out nearly perfectly for me. Regardless, I just want them to be able to offer a smooth KS and hopefully not have the same production problems (that do not sound like their fault) this time around. I think with any KS the biggest thing is in the delivery. People put a lot of money down and when delivery gets delayed, they understandably get frustrated -- even when its reliable companies like Reaper and DF.
Bane Of Humanity
Here is the thing. I think if Reaper waits on Bones 4. they are going to have to delay it about 6 months. To allow their customer base to recover from Dwarven Forge. OR they are going to have to go into direct competition. If they delay it a month. People are going to be broke from DF KS and they wouldn't of had time enough to save to spend on Bones 4. So I think they need to choose between direct competition or a substantial delay if they want to maximize their pledges. This is of course just my opinion.
Members SamuraiJack
With the Pledge Manager open for a long time, they might bring in a lower initial total but I don't doubt that a 7 or 9 month PM would still work out for them

If they do it that way the number of new models will be reduced... Edited June 27, 2017 by Bane Of Humanity

Bones and Dwarvenite have ran closer together than that before. Bones2: October 2013 (5 months) DF2: March 2014 DF3: March 2015 (3 months) Bones3: July 2015 Also, Dwarven Forge has been March for all four previous Kickstarters. Reaper has been summer or fall. This shift wasn't a thing Reaper did. In top of that, delaying much more time will likely cause even more issues with China than we had in Bones 3.

I always tend to overestimate...better to have extra than not enough. Also why would they have more issues with China if they wait? lazylich
Wasn't part of the reason DF decided to go ahead with their latest KS that they didn't want to compete with holiday toy manufacturing for factory capacity?

The timetables are something that only the factory and Reaper know.

We do -- if you want metal or resin and don't mind paying for it! I'm getting antsy . At $1100+ per backer, DF is way out of my wallet, so I didn't pledge for it. CMON's Song of Ice and Fire sculpts are pretty darn impressive, so if Reaper doesn't take my money, CMON will!
Marc
Wait, didn't Reaper get the equipment to do the Bones figures here in the US? I thought they did that some time after the first kickstarter ... Edited June 27, 2017 by Marc

They have one machine, which they use to make bases; the machinery needed for more Bones is massively larger and more expensive.

Yes, at the volumes required to fulfill the Kick Starters, it takes dozens of machines running non-stop for months to produce all of the figures.
