How well does that thing balance? Do the chicken legs need reinforcing? Will it need to be permanently attached to a rigid base or does it stand on its own? If it requires a rigid base is one included or do we have to glue it to our own bookshelves? Is it solid or is there a strategic hollow inside the house? If there's a hollow what happens if it's off-centered, does the house loose balance?

note: none of these questions require answering but they needed to be asked

I had a basic question I assume has an answer but have no idea what it would be, once KS 4 is fulfilled and ready to ship, which "Wave 1" is shipped first, add-on or base? Or are all "wave 1" backers lumped together?

Depends on a lot of factors, including factors that may be unanswerable until the morning shipping begins, like whether someone has actually filled out their rewards reply.

At Reapercon last year, the sample in the case was standing quite well on it's own as is. No clue on the inside.

Previously the lowest wave add-on level was wave 3. That said, also previously just because the level said core pledge Reaper did not hold backers to having to get the core. So if you know you will or might spend $100 in add-ons and you want to be in wave 1 go ahead and pledge for the wave 1 core.

For the second question, all orders within a wave are shipped together regardless if it was a core or add-on level.

The model wasn't made of Bonesium though.

Bonesium gets bendier in hot weather, so depending on the weight distribution, it could stay perfectly still, or lean in one direction.

Then again, this will likely be multi-part. It would be nice if the legs are completely removable (for a non-walking hut) and that they are made of the stiffer plastic, used for Wyrmgear's wings or the graveyard fences, so it can avoid any balance issues.

Yeah, I was already thinking a couple steel bases under the house, and rare earth magnet in the top of each leg would make for a nice multi-use house model.   You could also find other stuff to stick on the chicken legs! ::P:

When we were picking Ron's brains (and totally plying him with liquor while suggesting minis we would like to see) after hours last RCon, he did day that the intent is to have the legs separate so people could just use it as a building.  Whether that changes for any reason is anyone's guess.

I was there and I vaguely remember that.

There also must have been many other meetings since. So who knows what to expect now.

Then again, modding these shouldn't be too difficult.

I vaguely remember something like that being said around the case as well.
