This is called TANITH's AWAKENING. A sideproject from my Lost World Project.   It was born due to @knarthex's daughter Alsnia, showing a pic of a cute python with flowers on it's head.

THX,   Here are some more pics.     And the last ones.

Thank you!   It was fun to do those skulls like that. And it took me a while to get it all finished.   A close up from the Lizard statue heads, I realized I didn't show them t

That is one of those WONDERFULLY crafted pieces that yields a new discovery with each viewing. It is a BEAUTIFUL narrative creation. FANTASTICALLY WELL DONE!

It was also great fun watching it develop...an inspiring process.

Thx Al!

It was a fun ride, and people like you, giving advice, commenting and such helped me a lot.

That is crazy cool, even though the term "side project" escapes me! This looks like a major endeavour!

Thanks!

Let's just say things got out of hand...

Really fun to build though.

awesome job , the snake skin on the albino snake looks great

Thank you!

It was a Toy Snake from Safari.

Used Reaper Liner to prime it.

Wow!  This is brilliant!

I remember that post with the cute snake with the flower wreath.  You've taken awesome inspiration here.  Well done!

Thank you!

The Forumites were helping a lot, giving advice, sending stuff and I talked to Knarthex's daughter Alsnia ( PM) to discuss this.

She was allright with me using her name and giving her a role in the story!

It's fun to see what one can do with a few plastic toys snakes and some foam...

It turned out as beautifully as I had expected it to. I hope you had as much fun making it as it was watching you create it. ::D:

I did have a lot of fun, and your input was very valuable if not priceless!

I think my favorite detail is the lucha libre mask style painting of the skulls. The whole thing is fantastic and makes me feel lazy in my painting.

Thank you!

And it took me a while to get it all finished.

A close up from the Lizard statue heads, I realized I didn't show them that well.

Pic is from an earlier stage.

The Sultan leaned back in his cushions, the room was almost dark, suddenly the fires lit up and the music started.
Senliah stepped forth from the shadows and started her dance.
He was enthralled, her moves, those curves, and the thrill of the danger while she danced with that large venomous serpent!
      Such a show!

Aaaahhh his friends would be delighted to see her at the banquet he would host next week.
Senliah had agreed to perform for him alone tonight to give him a taste of what they could expect.
The Sultan couldn't keep his eyes from her, such grace such beauty and yet a hint of danger.

Of course there were those who couldn't cope with her being so populair.
Some even talked behind her back, spreading rumours that she danced in the forbidden Temple of Apophis!
Rubbish! The Sultan thought, if anyone was caught spreading such gossip he would have that person beheaded, how dared they speak of such an innocent girl like that!

Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place.   According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.

Painted up an old mini I've had forever. Pretty much just slapped some GW contrast paints on him, with a few metallics (Vallejo Gunmetal and Chrome), and some Reaper Walnut Brown for the eyes.

no sense leaving a mini half finished.
all the classes were fun, but basic.  they were good practice painting along.  I certainly don't regret taking them,.
It is hard to get in the moment feedback online - one of things I miss most about in person classes.

The  camera work was good, and I could see most of the steps.  Bender's crayons were just as helpful in understanding.
