This is called TANITH's AWAKENING. A sideproject from my Lost World Project.   It was born due to @knarthex's daughter Alsnia, showing a pic of a cute python with flowers on it's head.

THX,   Here are some more pics.     And the last ones.

Thank you!   It was fun to do those skulls like that. And it took me a while to get it all finished.   A close up from the Lizard statue heads, I realized I didn't show them t

Really really cool!

Great story and SO many details. The Tanith snake looks good, that pale, almost newborn, innocent pink-ish color.. as art should, it makes the imagination run!

Thank you for your kind words!

Well done.  Very inspiring.  The pictures may be stolen for when PCs, searching for the hidden cult's temple, stumble upon a ceremony just concluding . . . . They can make the decision whether it's blasphemous or Gaia-friendly turned up to 11!

Thanks!  Feel free to use the pics.

If you look at the WIP you'll find more.

I don't game, but I like to create armies, warbands and monsters.

WOW!

This is perfect for the story and I suspect would take at minimum gold at Reapercon if you could get it there.

I can only wait for the rest of the story to unfold when your return to your home base.

Good luck while away (PS  post more story if you can)

Well Done!

You could ship it to someone in the Dallas area maybe and have them enter it at R Con, maybe????

I sent links to Alsnia for her to check out, hopefully, she will be brave enough to comment to you here, or at least pm....

I'm afraid it wouldn't survive shipping from this distance.

And I'm content showing it here.

I hope Alsnia likes it ( and don't worry, she will survive my stories..)

The white of Tanith is really striking against the beautifully age and patina of the rest of the shrine. Congrats on a cool looking piece.

Thank you!!!

I had lots of people helping with advice and suggestions.

That is phenomenal work!  I am amazed at the intricacies and the details you created! So beautiful!

Thanks!

Things really got out of hand here, everytime I thought, maybe a bird? A little more vegetation?

I will leave tuesday, don't know how much time I will have before I leave.

Maybe I can post some more story later.

To be honest, the thing that amazed me the most was how well these toy snakes could be painted.

I washed them thoroughly and then applied Reaper Brown Liner, I was a little afraid they would keep looking like toys, but I guess it worked.

Wow. Everytime I look at a picture I notice a different little detail and they all seem to be chosen very carefully and purposely. Amazing! I agree you should enter this into a big contest!

Thank you!

No such thing here, and shipping might damage it.

I'm happy with getting likes and comments here!

The Sultan leaned back in his cushions, the room was almost dark, suddenly the fires lit up and the music started.
Senliah stepped forth from the shadows and started her dance.
He was enthralled, her moves, those curves, and the thrill of the danger while she danced with that large venomous serpent!
      Such a show!

Aaaahhh his friends would be delighted to see her at the banquet he would host next week.
Senliah had agreed to perform for him alone tonight to give him a taste of what they could expect.
The Sultan couldn't keep his eyes from her, such grace such beauty and yet a hint of danger.

Of course there were those who couldn't cope with her being so populair.
Some even talked behind her back, spreading rumours that she danced in the forbidden Temple of Apophis!
Rubbish! The Sultan thought, if anyone was caught spreading such gossip he would have that person beheaded, how dared they speak of such an innocent girl like that!

Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place.   According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.

Painted up an old mini I've had forever. Pretty much just slapped some GW contrast paints on him, with a few metallics (Vallejo Gunmetal and Chrome), and some Reaper Walnut Brown for the eyes.

all the classes were fun, but basic.  they were good practice painting along.  I certainly don't regret taking them,.
It is hard to get in the moment feedback online - one of things I miss most about in person classes.

The  camera work was good, and I could see most of the steps.  Bender's crayons were just as helpful in understanding.
