Brain in a Jar - Bones 3

Recommended Posts

So decided to do a quick experiment.  I really wanted there to be actual fluid in my brain in a jar. So I decided to test out  Vallejo Still water mixed with transparent blue paint.

What I didn't think about was the fact that its air tight in there...so the Still water will never cure....Sooo....oops

It could cure I don't know but it might takes days....months...or even years...I also used as little paint as possible and it ended up a bit less translucent that I would have liked but that's ok.

hmmmm that would be tight....not much room between where the brain is attached to the lid and the rim of the lid is attached to the clear plastic cylinder....hmmm

plus the strees from drilling might pop the top off....AHHH why didn't I think of drilling holes before assembly!

How about at the bottom? Turn the figure over & let it air out that way. When it cures, just fill the hole up with some green stuff.

Nice idea thou, when I get the BiaJ I will do something similar.

Well if I did that it would cure at the top of the jar and thus defy gravity when I stand it up normally because there is a small amount at the top that's not covered.

Ah ok. I thought it was filled completely.

Well that's what you get when experimenting....sometimes you forget things or don't think of them until its too late.

I don't think it looks terrible.  I do sort of wish the fluid wasn't so murky   Maybe next time Ill just dip a brush in the paint and mix it in...

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."

      From Bones 3, the Werearmadillo

Obviously, lycanthropy has spread too far...and this is a reminder that Reaper are from Texas, where armadillos are native and as I understand it, seen as pests. I would really like to know how the sales figures for this model compares to other lycanthropes.

I have a series of vignette's I'm planning that all feature ogres in amusing scenes with townsfolk. The first of this series is here.
With this one I imagined the young milk maid is taking her boyfriend home to meet the parents for the first time. The boyfriend, wanting to put on a good first impression has worn his best striped collar and matching belt, as well as brought his best skulls.
He's a bit nervous so she's trying to reassure him. "Don't worry... Mom is going to love you."
She doesn't say anything about dad, though...
Any critique and criticism is always welcome.
