I'm on wave 7, no notice. No comments from reaper either. Makes me think it's not just the tracker being broken. I think they are now trying to just ignore the problem and hope it'll be fixed soon enough, so they don't have to address it.

Also wave 7.

The lack of comms is poor by Reaper.

It's holiday season, the school terms have finished or are finishing today and people are off on their summer vacations. Letting people stew on a vague promise of delivery is not good, especially when a) things are so far behind b) there are clearly some issues.

Anyone who works against deadlines knows it's never good to ease up on comms when deadlines are missed. If I told my clients that I would have a report ready for them tomorrow, then miss that deadline, I can't imagine they would be happy with an email from me on Monday saying that they may get the report next week....but they might not.

I am on Wave 1, no notice.

I sent an email to reaper some days ago, and got a "we are looking into it with our UK hub" in reply some hours later.

since then...tumbleweeds.

So it is pretty much guaranteed that if it comes at all, it will come when I am absent for a fortnight.

We have a delivery promise. Order today, sent out by tomorrow. If we miss that deadline, no matter the circumstances, the customer gets a discount. You will always get a reply within 24 hours. And we all know they check this thread regularly. So this silence speaks a lot. Noone here has been rude or disrespectful. The fact that it's the shipping that's causing all this grieve is very bitter. 30% of the amount I paid was shipping. I do think if the tracker was simply broken they'd just say "hi guys, tracker is broken but don't worry we are still shipping" but I would really like to stand corrected on that... :/

Iirc the tracker didn't move last week on Thursday and Friday (Monday and Tuesday it moved, but slowly, since only 1 person was manning the packaging station).

Starting into this week, the numbers where really encouraging, and if they had kept that pace after the Wednesday lunch break, they would probably have most of the packages out by now. But they did stop at the same time again.

Is there a problem that stops them from working all week?

I feel like people were pretty understanding that 1 person couldn't pump out more packages after they knew it was just 1 person, so I'm pretty sure whatever the reason for this continued delay, telling the backers can't be worse than saying nothing.

Just saw that too. Maybe they mass pull and then apply labeles? I have no clue.

Interesting theory, but the tracker doesn't seem to be moving faster than on Monday/Tuesday. Doesn't seem like they have 600 packages lined up and are just slapping labels on.

Also, the tracker started at 2 PM my time, so 1 PM (?) British time, so probably right after lunch break.

I bet 5 cents on some unlucky soul bumping into the special and very expensive transport label printer, knocking it over to the floor wrecking it, so they needed to get another and calibrate it before being able to resume shipping two days later.

(yes, this happened at my place of work once. The printer is now tied to the bench so it cannot be knocked over again. )

Would still be nice to get that as explanation...
