I finally got the chance to start my B3 inventory, but still have too many things on my plate and am being very meticulous. Plus granddaughters 1 & 2 wanted to help. Killed alot of time and I cab definitely report #1 had a blast playing with Mr & Mrs Bones plus vulture. Oh. And the flying monkey.

got through the core set with only a missing werewolf head. Next up is going through the bigger figures verifying all parts are there. I got the next three days off from work so hopefully I'll get the counting done.

Alright, I'm afraid I'm going to have to bring this up, but I need to know if this has affected anyone else. When I originally got my Bones 3 package everything was in order except for two figures. Andras-Evil Warrior has a blob of plastic over his right eye that distorts his face, while Ivar-Dwarf Priest has a warped hammer and a mold line on his head that makes it look like a step. Alright, that's not a problem because I know that Reaper will always step up to replace any defective product. I got the replacements a couple of weeks ago and.... they had the exact same problems as the originals. I thought it was odd and that it must have been a bad batch, so I asked for replacements again and specifically requested that the miniatures be closely inspected to make sure they don't have the defects. I just received them today, they were in blisters and yet the exact same problems are on them as well. Here are pics of the originals as reference, sorry if they're a touch blurry:

My question to everyone is, has this happened to anyone else who received these figures? Is this an issue that has affected only a few people, or is there a major defect with the molds that has affected all the figures? I would honestly like to know the answers to these and see if it's really worth it to ask for a replacement if I'm only going to receive another substandard figure in return, or if this is a temporary thing and that steps are already being taken to correct this problem.

Reaper posted this on the KS comments page:

@William Boyle, etc. - We're sorry, it's not a question of not wanting to answer, it's a question of not having any new information. We have not been notified yet of any realistic timeframe, and customs and other factors continue to cloud our ability to offer realistic estimates.

As 'one of the 158'(I have 4 orders... ) I'm not all that interested in estimated timeframes.

What I would really like is just knowing what is happening.

A short 'Pallet went out the door today'

Pallet is being transported by xxxxx service.

Pallet arrived in England today...

You know, just 'kept in the loop'.

Oh, and my guess is that the missing pallet ended up in Australia, where it was subsequently nicked by D&D-playing Koalas.

(Can't trust the Koalas. They're almost as evil as the sheep)

I suspect these may be the Bones 3 version of some of the noseless Bones 1 minis that never made it to retail (2 or 3 if I remember right) as they just couldn't get them to cast that body part reliably enough (or at all?)

Finished my invemtory on Sunday with the only issue being a missing werewolf head! Great job Reaper!

Better yet, I sent Reaper a note Sunday evening, with all the right info, I assume, and got a note Monday aftenoon that my replacement is in work. ::D:

Finally, during the final inventory I dry-fit Kyphrixes and invisible Kyphixes. That's when I relized I'm going to need a second visible Kyphrixes, cuz Kyphrixes going invisible wouldn't make the ground he's standing on go invisible!

Of course, I can always just paint the terrain base the same as I do the other Kyphrixes! ::P:

Eh?

Has the tracker been updated?

I could have sworn that it was listing 158 remaining, and Moscow as the last place shipped-to.

It still reads 158, but now it lists Kopenhagen as last place it shipped to...

I should probably check my temperature, or at least check that no one tampered with my tea...

When people who failed to lock in their orders contact us and we have to manually adjust things, it can impact what is shown on the tracker.

Can't those slackers wait until after everyone else(those of us waiting for the fabled 158) have gotten ours?

If any of them protest, blame me.

No word on the replacement pallet, yet, I assume, and the lost pallet is still lost?

(My guess is that it's either in Australia, or it's in the British Customs Warehouse somewhere. Hopefully the former. If not, think final scene of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' )
