Hasslefree HFA004 "Kat" painted as a Zenith Caste Solar for "Exalted" (picture intensive!)

This is another of the PCs for the "Exalted" campaign set in White Wolf's World of Darkness which I'm currently involved in.

 

This character was a medieval Persian vampire who reverted to human when she Exalted as a Zenith caste Solar.  Among other things, she has a sword which shines with the light of the Sun.

 

The figure is from Hasslefree, HFA004 "Kat", sculpted by Kev White.  There's a WIP thread here.

 

The lighting effect changes a lot at different angles so I included lots of pictures.

I think where it clicked is when I started thinking of her outfit as a night side and a day side.  It really fits the character.

Her hair is really, really, really well done.  An example of how you don't have to have all kinds of fancy freehand and lots of different colors to have a dramatic effect.

      44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Striker

      Hello everyone, here are pictures of the last Dark Dwarf I painted for my Duergar squad. I converted a 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter sculpted by Bobby Jackson to make it look more like a Striker. I changed the original hammer head for a 3D printed two sided meat tenderizer and added the eye patch. Thanks to Derek feedback, I really pushed myself on this one. I think I spent something like 3 or 4 hours on the beard only. It is standing on a 2 inches square base. The ball and chain are made of Milliput and a 3mm hobby chain. Your comments are welcome.       Enlarge! Hello everyone, here are pictures of the 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter I completed last night. The size of this model allowed me to add more texture on the leather. I also added light effect on the face and the shield rivets. For those of you who may wonder, Dark Dwarves (Duergar) can once a day use their spell-like ability to enlarge themselves. This Bones Black model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.

      I’ve been going through BONES I mostly in order, doing several WIP.  This was the next.  I wanted to try to improve on my OSL so he got a green magic glowing gem.  Still not great, but the idea comes across.

      One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians.
      I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, Undead and a lot more.
      However those Undead are the Egyptian Style and Pirate/Jungle style.
       
      This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night.
      In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency.
      There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not...
       
      I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it.
       
      Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming.

      EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give this an oldschool vibe.
      Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel.
      The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread.  ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project)
       
      EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one.
      Now CHILDREN of the NIGHT.
