Woohoo! Wheeee!

What do you mean there are other things in the box?  <__<

He crept into the box at my house begging for a ride home...

You can thank my wife and her knitting skills for him!  She did a great job.  He was going to be stuffed with the box content but he looked silly and didn't fit.  The popup version worked much better.

Glad you liked him!

I enjoy how the circuit filled out the notebook. I have grabbed something from everyone. I'll perform a second dig through tonight and take pictures.

Don't forget our little roly-poly monk.  I forgot to grab a pic before he left!

Went through the box and selected my items:

Grenadier - Dwarven Flamethrower

Halfling Militia - Chicken Riders (I missed out on the kickstarter. Score.)

Reaper Miniatures - Morty

Reaper Miniatures - Malena the Sorceress (I gifted mine away. Now I have one again. ^.^ )

Confrontation - Door

Tales of War - Gladiator

A variety of loose figures (The tilted Flumppppph! Oops, I have it straightened in this picture)

I could not locate the following in the notebook to cross off:

1) Fighter in two pieces

2) Lady with clapping hair (Japan commercial for clapping hair reference: Youtube Link)

3) Bird-Head guard

4) Corpse

Traveling Monk (Apologies for the photos, I don't have a place for miniature photography).

Arc did a wonderful job with the base sculpting. Great job on the painting to all those applied paint. If anyone notices a place to touch up on the figure, let me know.

The lady with the clapping hair is one of the Ghosts of Gaia figures (Abra, and I think I listed it as girls of Giaia in the notebook) by Bad Squiddo Games.

Glad you got a flumph.  Looking forward to seeing how you paint one.  Come to think of it, same goes for the rooster.

I'm thinking the next one will probably be shortly into the new year; this one is still running, and we're already into October. Doing it too quickly would have it running into the holidays and all the madness that goes along with them.

I think that's a good idea.  Shipping in December is brutal enough.

Got the box from Buckyball late on Saturday. Monday is Columbus day so no postal service. I invited a friend over to look through the box and he took a few things. I may need to repack the box as we are adding more volume than we took. I hope to get it out by Wednesday unless Bonwirm is going to ReaperCon in which case I could deliver it by hand...?

My wife was very pleased by the Archive Miniatures Basilisk. We looked it up online and found some references to it here:

http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Category:Archive

Looks like it might be between 35 and 40 years old and still in the shrink wrap. We plan to take it out and give it a good paint job. The poor thing has probably just about given up on ever being painted or played with. After ReaperCon it is in for a very pleasant surprise. :)

When it comes to Box of Goodwill pictures quantity is the preferred quality - enjoy.

Flying brains??

Yes, my friend took those. He thought they were Reaper minis but I've never seen anything like them.

To me, they look a little like Tyranids from GW...?

I thought the wedding dice was the oddest thing in the box - down right creepy given the month we're in. :)

      Ok, here are the rules:
      1) Please don't sign up if you were there, or if you had someone get you stuff from the con. This is supposed to be for people who weren't there. No, I'm not going to check, but the gods will know, and they will visit a terrible vengeance upon you.

      2) Unlike the regular version of the BoGW that you may be familiar with, you don't need to match anything you take. All of this stuff was donated by people to allow other people to get some cool stuff. So, take whatever you want (but see below).

      3) No sharing your picks. If it works out that everyone involved gets to pick 3 figures but you only want 2, you can't pass that extra figure choice down the line to someone else. Everyone gets to have the same amount of stuff, unless someone chooses to take less. If there's stuff left over, send it back to me and it'll get folded into the next regular Box of Goodwill. (Exact number of choices will be based on the amount of people signing up)

Most of the stuff this time around is metal and resin miniatures. There are no Bones (I did receive a few of the monthly Bones giveaway figure, but they're all the same figure, and I was probably only going to throw in a few to round out numbers if it becomes necessary, otherwise, I was going to put them in the regular BoGW). There are a few non-miniature items, such as bags, dice, etc. There are not enough of these items to go around, so if you want a bag, for example, that counts as one of your picks.

Any other questions, please let me know.

Would there be interest in/support for doing this again this year?

This is the basic idea behind it for those not familiar:

The past couple Reapercons that I've been at, I have noticed a fair amount of swag bag/con exclusive figures that people didn't want getting tossed onto the melt table and/or left laying around.
I had the idea of collecting all the unwanted stuff, putting it in a box and shipping it around to folks who couldn't get to the 'con so that they could sort of 'be there, too'.

Unlike the regular BoGW, people donating wouldn't get anything out of the box, they would just be 'throwing away' the stuff they don't want in a slightly different direction. Maybe there would be a ribbon involved, maybe it might just be the thanks of people who will benefit done the line.
