Sweet, I voted for #4 via PM also, so it sounds like most of us are in agreement already.

Similar lead question for my group...I have some Aztec figures from Wargames Foundry that I think contain lead.  I needed some specific ones for an Aztec-themed D&D campaign, but I don't need all of the ones that came in the packages.  If there's interest in my group I'll pop a few in the box, sequestered appropriately.  If not, I won't bother this time around.

Does anyone object to finding random basing materials? No, there will not be actual moss, or lichen (I have a lot of both, but somehow, it seems unwise to ship those who-knows-where)...

No objections if it is limited to the 1 sandwich baggie. I'm always up for new materials or textures.  Larger amounts should wait for the Box 'O Basing.

Ahh the @Bonwirn box again.  It feels like I just did that one but time has just flown by.  That was from Round 2. :)  Bring it on!  Sending address to @Sylverthorne in a PM.

I haven't really been keeping track of which box is which.

Has anyone mapped their routes?

Speaking of lead... Is anyone in Bonwirn's group partial to the really old-school lead stuff like Asgard and Archive, or should I not bother to put it in? How about Grenadier and the TSR stuff?

I am partial to 'really old-school stuff'. And I am in Bonwirn's group

Not that I'm aware of.

I could; I still have all my notes going back to the first one...

Here is my group. I'll send my shipping info to Buckyball and I need Bonwirm to send me theirs.

I'm ok with anything that goes in the box and I'll try to paint if our group wants to do that.

Any veterans want to share their experiences from previous boxes? This is my first time.

I would love to see a list of cities that have been involved (maybe the number of times each)!

I am planning on providing a Group Paint Miniature in my Box. I would like to know which of my Short Listed options are prefered. Here they Are below. Voting ends on July 15th or once everyone in the group has voted. I'll be sending Pineapple a request for an Address to send to. The rest of you should do the same to prevent delays later on:) My box will most likely be leaving here on the 17th or 18th of July.

Enjoy:)

So far we have 3 votes for #4 the Foo Dog! That is a majority, I think. I'll set it up with some Primer/Liner and fix a Personal Miniature Transporter for it.

My wife scored some old lead minis at a garage sale...  Some of them are pretty cool... I might include a few that I'm not as interested in as well if folks are looking for that style.

I was going to send a pm to my group, but I forgot that there's a limit to how many people can be on a pm. Soooooo.... @Inarah, @knarthex, @Froggy the Great, @David Brawley, @haldir, @HornedTurtle - Do y'all want to do a group paint? Participation will be optional, so no worries if the majority wants one and anyone doesn't want to. If yes, are y'all good with me just picking something random from the Bones 3 core set? Or do y'all have suggestions? Do you want to vote on it? Give me your thoughts, hopes and dreams.

Inarah, please send me your address at your earliest convenience and HornedTurtle, I'm going to go ahead and send you mine so I don't forget down the road.

I'm cool with a group paint. And something random from bones 3 should be fun, especially if @Froggy the Greatdoes something fun with it along the way!

As for my hopes and dreams, I hope there aren't any of your eggs in the box!

You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too
You'll fire your musket, but I'll run you through
So when you're waiting for the next attack
You'd better stand, there's no turning back

I'm going to be building/converting/sculpting my own copy of Eddie from this artwork. I'm just going to do the central figure, not the battlefield around him.

For those who don't know, the song 'The Trooper' is based on the Charge of the Light Brigade, an action during the Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean War.

So, before I get started, a question:

The artist who did this piece (Derek Riggs) applied a little creative license to the flag that Eddie is carrying. It is not historically accurate to the best of my knowledge and research. If you know differently, please enlighten me.

When I get to that point, do I try to recreate the flag as seen in the artwork, or go with something a little more accurate? Or is that a detail that most people will not notice?

Here's 2 beetle swarms that I knocked out pretty quick this weekend.

One basic brown, and the other with a more metallic look to them.

Let me know what you think.

I finished Mason Thornwarden a little earlier today. He's painted up to a (hopefully) decent tabletop standard. I've been reading a lot about Rangers of Shadowdeep on various blogs all over the internet; I can neither confirm nor deny that is what may have led to his selection for the paintbrush.

Let me know what you think of him, please.

I just finished painting this figure yesterday. It's from the old Grenadier boxed set 'Fighting Men' #2005. Not really a whole lot to say about him, I spent about 3 hours painting him to a good tabletop level. I got a little burned out on painting for a while, feeling like I had to paint everything to a competition level. Well, sometimes it's just fun to slap some paint on a figure in a few hours just to take your mind off of other things. I had just forgotten that somewhere along the way.

Anyhow, here he is, let me know what you think.

I finally managed to climb back on the painting horse. I painted this vampire to my usual tabletop standard. He'll be the leader for a Mordheim/Frostgrave/random skirmish game warband.
