Getting a group of friends together is fun, but not necessary for escape rooms*. From my experience it's better to have random strangers mixed into the group to help break the group thinking that your friends and yourself are used to.

* I've participated in several and the people ranged from 4 to 15 depending on the size and complexity of the puzzles.

Oddly enough, we don't have a problem with my friends and group-thinking.

*counts up her friends, calculates the percentage on the autism spectrum or with ADD vs neurotypicals*

*calculates spread of ages, incomes, and backgrounds*

Actually, what's odd is that me and my friends get along at all.

Yesterday was our 5th anniversary. Hubby asked me why I stuck around for that long. "Obviously I either like being annoyed, or you aren't doing the right kind of annoying to drive me away."

See, the problem with those straws is that by the time your drink reaches your mouth, it's warm.

Happy Anniversary, RedAmbrosia!

Happy not Monday, everyone! I have the day off, but I still need to go out and do stuff; I'm going to see about a passport and I also need to go to the DMV and try to get my car registered. So, not working, but not 100% goofing off and relaxing, either.

I agree!  But she is removing all potatoes (even sweet ones for now), tomatoes, (eggplant isn't really a thing for her).  But with the autoimmune issues she (and her family) have, it is one of the moving targets she is trying to find.

Great Gasping Sopping Monday Morning to Everybody!

*** Shakes off coming in to work ***

Since 1-1/3 inches of rain since 7 am isn't quite enough, we're going to let the clouds keep dropping buckets and cats and dogs and frogs and anything else that wants to fall down on our patch of forest.  Almost felt like I was giving Monday a hug out there.  Maybe Monday will be nicer to all of you now...

Good morning all,

I had a good weekend myself. Buddy of mine from Georgia came to town: Went and saw Valerian (really good), Shooting range (a new one, nice and clean), Hung out and played through Halo 5's campaign.

Good weekend... No painting obviously but still good none the less! Hope All is well with you fine people?! ::):

haha!

Sitting here at work waiting.  Was supposed to be doing a job on a boat this morning, but the package never got opened over the weekend like it was supposed to.  So now we are waiting for that to happen.  And for there to be a break in the rain, as the job will be exposing normally sealed electronics to the elements.  Water + 'trons = bad day.

Yeah, the magic smoke inside of military electronics doesn't like getting wet.

Not sure that's unique to the military.  I've seen someone let the smoke out of a blade server and I know how to let the smoke of out a $5K cisco router.  That wasn't good for either one of us...

woke up this morning to the kids being little twerps and it's raining so the drive in was suboptimal...not a great way to start off a Monday.  Here's hoping the rest of the week improves!

Does no one do cuneiform on wax tablets any more?
