Randomness XII: Eighteen! Purple! Squirrels!

Morning!

Ever have a mini that the longer you look at it, the less sense it seems to make? Just can't figure this one out... Probably will paint it anyway, since I'm running out of prepped humans... but may do more skellies first...

Yet another work day. Feels like a Monday. At least I've got game tonight to look forward to.

Yet another work day. Feels like a double Monday. At least I've got... uh... eating out to look forward to.

Really delta like I was close to a mental breakdown yesterday. I think I'm netter today. Netter!? *sigh* I'll allow it. But better was the word I was going for. Hope all have a good Tuesday especially those whose calendars were set to repeat on accident.

Addition: Delta? Felt. FELT. I'm seriously thinking of turning off autocorrupt.

Back at it again... full mom-role ahead!

18 yo got a job (yay!) 20 yo still needs a job (boo!) and 16 yo is jealous and still out of school. Sigh.

Oh and I just found out I won't be coming back to work, cuz they don't need me :(

So, pro: more time to paint! con: less $$ to buy minis with. Sigh.

Ayup, feels like Monday all over again.

BAH!

There was an accident on the base.

One of the technicians fell off a stairs, 3 meters high, landing on concrete.

He missed a step.

He is now being transported to a hospital.

I know this guy, we were in France together.

One of the NCO's from my Dpt. was there and saw him fall, he assisted and called the medics.

There was blood everywhere and a broken wrist for sure.

He bled out of his mouth.

Was somewhat conscious though.

Responded to instructions but didn't say much.

Now hoping he will be allright.

Guy's got a wife and kid.

How one small step can turn the day around..

Do not like.  Here it would result in a "safety stand down" while all work stops and they look for a root cause.

@Dilvish the Deliverer there will be an investigation for sure.

It's a fixed stairs outside a building, he just missed a step and fell down.

I'm worried, the guy who assisted works with us and he told us about what happened.

He is pretty shaken by it all himself.

There was much blood.

I hope it will be allright in the end.

But it sounds bad.

Bleeding from the mouth is not a good sign, he also puked.

Let's hope for the best.

@Guildenstern sorry to hear about the job loss. Hope you'll find something soon!

I am glad he is getting immediate medical attention. About 2 years ago, My father in law fell from more than 20 feet. He had 2 brain bleeds, a skull fracture and now has permanent hearing loss, but now is doing well. No lingering deficits other than the hearing loss.

Your co-worker likely has a serious (and perhaps critical) injury, but he is getting the help he needs. Nothing else can be done right now. Which makes this part the hardest, because it is a wait and see. I'm wishing him all the best.

Good morning everyone,

Had an excellent birthday! Some buddies of mine decided to come over and hook up xbox ones and we all played Titanfall 2 for a few hours. Pretty cool!

Felt a little sick this morning so I loaded up on Vitamin C, Zinc and silver. Oh and a few shots of whiskey. I do feel better this morning but not 100%.

Made coffee... coffee das gooood! this picture sums up my affections for coffee right now.

Friday is our 5th anniversary! Happy anniversary to you both!

ETA:

Next year will be my 10th high school reunion. I'm not sure if there will even be a reunion since it was an online high school that I actually graduated from. Not to mention there were only 8 of us at graduation.

Neat. I have heard of online college degrees, but didn't know online high school was a thing. I learned a thing today!
