You know, one of the things I love the most about this place is that this kind of thing is completely reasonable here.

Been a pretty good day so far. I had my optometrist appt, and got to wow him with one of my painted minis (I brought one plus a paintbrush to demonstrate what focal strength I needed), and his reaction was priceless. He was all  "Wow, you actually paint such tiny things?!" He also immediately saw why both my current prescription and generic reading glasses don't work so good for me for painting. So he had me hold the mini like I was painting it and tried a few different lenses over the top of my existing ones, and found a good match pretty quickly. Huzzah, no more eye strain!! 

 

Then I stopped by the food area (I go to Costco optical) for a polish dog and ice cream since they're super yummy and crazy cheap, and happened to run into an acquaintance there. We talked about clothes and Disneyland and how stupidly hot it is outside.

 

Next I was finally able to pick up my new inhaler prescription (the one I've been carrying around is... *checks* ...2 years out of date  ), so my lungs will be less likely to spontaneously kill me now.

 

And now I'm back in my air conditioned apartment, where I get to hang out with you crazy people, and there's yummy leftover shepherd's pie in the fridge for dinner tonight. So yeah, good day so far.

Sculpting break time! Some Final Fantasy, dinner, and then maybe more sculpting.  Ooh, and some exercise thrown in there somewhere too.
