That's all they need, Mothra sized hornets.

Had frost a couple of nights ago that wiped half the wife's garden on the farm. WTF is with our weather? A couple of days of 30+ then freezing? I know we can get extreme changes here but this is bizarre. I don't remember it ever freezing this time of year. And now it's back up to 30. The wife's kind of upset but I'm actually having a good start to summer. Starting to get nervous because every time I'm feeling good about things I get hit with a craphammer.

I was supposed to meet a lady about buying a portable dishwasher off of her today. I had talked to her on Wednesday, and she couldn't meet then and so I asked what would be a good day for her and she said today. Except when I tried to message her today she never responded. I'm thinking that she blocked me or something, because Facebook messenger isn't even showing that she checked the message and I can't see the marketplace listing anymore. I think that being enthusiastic about wanting to buy a dishwasher(at an amazing price if it actually worked) made her think I was some weirdo or something.

Then I hurt my shoulder today. I pulled my SCA armor box out of my car, which weighs in the 50-70lb range, and ever since my left shoulder has been hurting. I'm wondering if I just strained it a bit somehow, or if I managed to actually do some real damage because it hurts more than anything I've ever done in the past. If it still hurts about 48 hours from now, then I'll get it checked out.

Safe?

I don't think so.

it all worked out fine. just fine.

as long as we only destroy hornets, not wasps, and keep the lasers away from hats made of snakes no one will be subjected to incompetent east German super science.

probably should also avoid arms dealers from long island...

Rain/windstorm rolling through. Starting out strong.

Probably the same one that's throwing a tantrum over us right now.

Extreme thunderstorm and flash flood warnings for our whole area, even got an emergency broadcast warning on our cell phones (which rather startled both of us).

We've taken the usual 'severe thunderstorm' precautions of turning off and unplugging important electronics and making sure our phones have decent charge. I've been using the time to fold laundry, and amusing myself by stacking clothes on MrBoot (who is dozing on the couch next to me) as I fold them. It's the little things in life. ^_^

I'd never really considered the amusement possibilities of stacking mundane objects on scientists.  Is it a decent spectator event or more of a zen focus thing?

If he'd had more of a response than "lay there" it would probably have been more exciting to random spectators.

Warnings have all been canceled, apparently the storm moved through so fast it didn't have time to do too much. I watched it on radar for a bit, it was going pretty quick.
