As for the lady with the dishwasher, I found the listing again, but she upped the price by $40. It's still a good deal considering that a new one is, at its cheapest, about $550, but while I could spare the $80 she was asking for before the new price is really stretching my limit. Also, it's not a good sign when she gets people expressing interest and then raises the price by 50% while she also stops responding to the people who were wanting to buy it. If she didn't want to sell it at the originally listed price, she shouldn't have put it up.

My guess is she got more offers, realised that the machine might be worth more, and got greedy.

I hope no one bites...

Dying...:zombie:

Started an exercise regime today and I'm not a fan.

Why can't getting into shape be a little easier?

Do you have any tiny ziplock storage bags? Michaels has them in the jewelry section. If memory serves, the 2 x 3 inch ones are most useful (1.5 x 2 inch ones are OK for things like old Parthas). I keep semi-assembled human sized minis in them, one set of parts per baggie.

I do this, too.

I've got regular sandwich bags that I'm going to use. Or at least I think I still have some sandwich bags. But even if I dont, there's only going to be a few loose pieces and they're decently sized so they should be harder to lose.

Famous last words.::P:

I had something like that happen to me once. I was trying to trade a lady a dresser for a table, but she kept changing the times or not showing up. Then she sent me this weird note about me stalking her and being a serial killer. And I'm just like, but I need a drawer for my socks...

Serial killers wear socks, too y'know.

People are weird sometimes.

(the snake woman was just a woman with her head sticking through a board with a drawing of a little tiny snake)

Wait... Really? Did she at least have a formed tongue or scale face paint or something?

Had frost a couple of nights ago that wiped half the wife's garden on the farm. WTF is with our weather? A couple of days of 30+ then freezing? I know we can get extreme changes here but this is bizarre. I don't remember it ever freezing this time of year. And now it's back up to 30. The wife's kind of upset but I'm actually having a good start to summer. Starting to get nervous because every time I'm feeling good about things I get hit with a craphammer. :ph34r:

It probably hasn't ever frozen this time of year before. Probably gonna need to get used to it. Extreme weather that trends toward seriously out of whack shifts is gonna be the new normal. Yay climate change...

The flex tape commercial is hiliarious. Like, yes I've always wanted saw a tin boat in half, tape it together, then go boating in crocodile infested waters. That seems like the perfect life goal :mellow:

Glad I wasn't the only one with that reaction.

Sure, everyone's gotta sleep sometime, right? Hard to be weird when you're unconscious.

Well, in theory anyway.::D:

Or at least that our Admins can count?  Not that Froggy couldn't convert it later...

...and you'll never know.

Speaking of dreams, my standard anxiety dreams are some combination of:  Endless Packing and Not Quite Able to ever Move, Going Back to School For Some Reason at my Current Age, and Visiting my Old Summer Camp and Realizing it's a Dream so I Can't Actually See it.

Combo of 1 and 2 last night, with the added progress of having finished packing and getting stranded in Chicago.  The kid and I missed our Dream Flight but Mrs. Frog didn't, and we got another Dream Flight direct to the destination whereas Mrs. Frog made her flight but had a layover in Chicago and we got there first.  O.o  My alarm went off as my mother was insisting I call Mrs. Frog and explain and I was explaining that her phone was dead.

Aieeee.
