These mold lines are intense. They aren't really that visible, but they seem to be in all the hard to reach areas. Some don't even make sense on where they are.

I have been working on the mold lines since my previous post and I finished the minis on the black tray (about half of what I was hoping to).

The color scheme will draw heavily from the color of the plastic for all of these minis. My goals are for the minis to noticeably belong to their faction and for the minis to pop at the table.

This is going to be fun to watch, though it might start to give me crazy ideas about painting all of my Cthulhu Wars stuff too . . .

Mold lines removed.

Cthulhu has a decent amount of gap where his wings connect. Do you guys think I should try to boil his and pry the wings off in order to reseat them or should I gap fill?

I got lost looking at reference art and photos. I am thinking I might go with a Green/Yellow/Dark Blue scheme for this faction, but I am not sold on it yet. Going to sleep on it.

I would boil and reset and gap-fill whatever's left. Though if you're going to do this to other ones, you might want to boil them before you remove the mold lines.

Looking forward to your work on these.

I don't like extra work. If the wing geometry looks fine (it does to me, YMMV),  just gap fill the fit to the body.  If you want to change the posture of the wings, then boil them and adjust as necessary.

Why boil before mold line removal?

I have been testing some colors on a Bones mini. I didn't do any highlights on the head and only have Green Liner on the wings, but what do you guys think so far?

My test paint job is just about done. Not sure on the eyes or the wings yet, though.

Easier to remove mold lines when the model is in pieces.

Well, looks like Hasbro is doing their own version of a kickstarter for a new release of one of the all-time classics.  I don't know if their site for the crowdfunding would be considered as a commercial site, but I'm sure it will be easy enough to find.  I'm in!

All miniatures are in 28mm scale to realistic accuracy. Dinosaurs are scaled per paleontological reference. Dinosaur: 1944 is a cooperative strategy game about army men vs. prehistoric monsters. In it, you and up to 3 other players control brave soldiers in a World War II setting, struggling to save the entire world from the threat of a Mesozoic rebirth. It is in part a battle game, as you maneuver around the map and fight the enemy. It is in part tower defense, as you place ambushes to help take out or slow down the incoming fiends. Each hero has unique strengths and weaknesses – your victory depends both in mastering your own hero and cooperating with your friends.
As the game progresses, you face more numerous foes and dinosaur bosses enter the field. Eventually you face the final boss – defeating her wins the game. Beware: if the dinosaurs devastate your base camp, you’ll be stranded on Kyuryu Jima, prey to the horrors therein.

FYI the game components graphic near the top show what you get if you go "all in" NOT what's in a standard box.

So pre-launch (I think October). Just under 2000 copies are already printed and will ship after the pledge manager closes. More supporters will be part of a second print run for January 2020. About 30US$ to ship to Canada for a softcover & pdf. Also the option exists to back in advance for the 3 follow up adventures. That seems to be at a 5$ discount from the first module.
